The Owner purchased this condo in 2010
* Clean and neat
* Friendly front desk staff
* Simple check in process - just like a hotel
* Affordable price for a million dollar view
* Ocean front
* Convenient to many amenities
* Walking distance to many restaurants, shops, etc.
* 1 mile from Broadway at the Beach
* 9 blocks from the famous Myrtle Beach Boardwalk
Pros: Beach view (side) and price.
Cons: The unit is in need of some updating. The bathroom has old spongy wall-paper which has white chip marks throughout, baseboard worn, shower curtain rod rusted. Kitchen sink faucet doesn't turn-off totally, you have to wiggle it. The building is an older building (hall ceilings, popcorn ceiling is peeling) and the worst was there was no "Satellite/Cable" to watch TV while we were "rained-out" or getting ready to go out. I, personally, look for flat-screen, updated photos of TV's, so that I know the TV is updated, but both sets had heavy lines and blurry fuzz. We called the front desk, they had maintenance come in, two men with flash lights, 5 mins--they said the wiring in the unit is from the 80's, and to "call the cable company". I work and have 2 jobs...I like to watch TV on vacation (especially when it's raining, or while the other person is in the shower). We did watch two (free) DVD movies from the lobby, but...still very annoying...I would not have rented if I were knew there was no TV service (basic necessity...I assumed we'd have a clear TV). Called the Owner, and he confirmed that the cable/wiring is out-of-date.
Also, on a side note, during bike week, last week of May...the town was in it's second year of a "loop" system to control the crowds and bike route...where every street is blocked off and just one-way direction, looping cars/bikes around a loop.
Traveled with my family to Carolina's for vacation and have to say that the Myrtle Beach portion was by far the best - not just because of the sun and surf, but the accommodations were perfect! This owner obviously cares about making his guests comfortable and helping them pick some of the better spots to dine whether its casual or fine. Condo was the perfect layout and beds were like being at home. Had all the amenities in the condo and the place is convenient to everything you could want to do in Myrtle.
Highly recommend - will be staying here at same unit again next year for sure - why change the perfect vacation!!
Perfect size for 2. Daughter and I loved it. Central location was great. Oceanview was nice. Short walk to Skywheel/Slingshot and restaurants. Short drive to Broadway at the beach and convention center. Dive burger joint next door rocked. My daughter ate a burger there several times. Perfect walk down the beach to 2nd ave Pier to eat outside and enjoy the view. Great Trip all around....Thanks Again!
This was a great condo for a single golfer playing the entire Grand Strand. Was a central location as well as easy access to Kings Highway as well as easy access to 17 Bypass. The view of the coean was OK as well as the close proximity to the restaurants on mid town Myrtle Beach. We have already booked something a little larger as we may have company next year but would probably booked here if not having company. It has great pool and spa as well as friendly and accomodating desk and hotel people. It was a great place to enjoy the BILO marathon in early February as the course runs right under the balcony along Ocean Drive. The owner was most helpful in the booking process and congenial on the process in whole. I would reccommend the property to friends and couple looking for a compact setting. Thanks again to the owner for making the condo available.
This was a good expierience. It was very centrally located, great pool and wonderful beach front location about a mile walk from the beach front restaurants in "downtown" Myrtle Beach. A great spot to view the BILO marathon as it ran right by our balcony. We booked something a little larger for next year but this was a great spot to golf out of as it was almost central to the entire Grand Strand with the fartest course about 45 minutes away. Golfed 48 rounds so that was important. The owner was great to work with and the people on premise were most accomodating. Would reccommend for a couple or single highly.
What a great weekend at this condo! The location is terrific, walking distance to almost anything you would want or need. Very comfy beds/pillows and great fuzzy blanket! Kitchen had everything necessary. The photos do not do this condo justice. The view from the balcony was lovely, and the building is designed so that all the side balconies have great views and privacy from your neighbor! Very clever! I liked that it was a "true one bedroom unit;" i.e., you were not walking through the door and directly into the bedroom, the bedroom actually has its own closing door from the hall. Owner was great to work with, and front desk staff was friendly. Parking was convenient. You won't go wrong here!
