Beautiful, well loved, remodeled 104 year-old, 4-bedroom Craftsman home in North Berkeley. Our home is located in the Berkeley hills with a fantastic view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco bay. It is just minutes walk from the famous North Berkeley Gourmet Ghetto, UC Berkeley campus and the welcoming Cordornices Park/Rose Garden with tennis courts. Our house is located on a quiet street with plenty of parking.
We have a beautiful and tranquil garden, which is filled with roses, wisteria, lilies and many colorful flowers and plants, as well as an herb bed. The garden also has two decks to enjoy meals outdoors during the summer months, several lawn chairs as well a grassy area welcoming to children.
With hardwood floors throughout, the home is elegant and livable. The first of three floors has a master bedroom and playroom with French doors that open on to the lawn area. The top floor has three bedrooms and a newly redesigned bath with a Japanese tub and a rain shower.
The main floor has a spacious re-designed kitchen, dining room, cozy breakfast nook and sunny, expansive living room with a large bay window.

We have lived in North Berkeley for more than 15 years and wouldn't live anywhere else. From the gorgeous views, fine foods, and warm community, we believe Berkeley is a wonderful place to raise our kids (in truth, even after traveling all over the world, we still think Berkeley is the best place for us).
Miriam or Andrew purchased this house in 2005
Not only would I recommend this house: it inspired fantasies of never leaving. It is open and light, with a spectacular view of the bridge. It is attractively and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is a paradise for a serious cook, especially because local stores and farm markets provide the most delectable ingredients imaginable. The house is immaculate, the bed- and bathrooms comfortable, as are the common areas.
We walked to the Rose Garden as well as the nearby park, where the children could go on the swings and slides. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely, and the garden lush: we picked some tomatoes and rosemary. AND, the New york Times arrived at our doorstep each morning.
I would return here...or preferably, establish residence!
