About Shelly Kesh
We currently live in Waterford, MI without two kids and two dogs. When our kids got super busy with sports we decided to share our home with others and it's been a great experience. Over the years we've been lucky to have people who have come back year after year. Several have fallen in love with the area and purchased places of their own.
Shelly Kesh purchased this House in 1997
Why Shelly Kesh chose Forest Home
We may be biased, but we feel like we have the best spot on the lake! Our home sits across from a nature preserve and it's on the widest part of the lake so looking out from the house you really get that up north, quiet feeling, even though you're never more than a short boat ride to Torch Lake where all the action is. The house itself has large windows and door walls and an all glass sunroom with gorgeous views of the lake. There's a huge deck very close to the waters edge and the way the house is situated you're not looking at the neighbors.
What makes this House unique
Great spot for biking, jogging, long walks. Close to Bellaire for shopping and restaurants. Visit Shorts Brewery and Lulus!
Sports & Adventure Activities
We stayed there between Christmas and New Year’s Eve and we had a great time! We were two families and the (5) kids enjoyed the nice open space in the upper floor.
Everything was as described, cooking together was fun and the dishwasher came in handy too. The owner was very responsive and communication was perfect.
The area is fantastic and we truly enjoyed our stay in “winter wonder land”!
We were truly blessed with a winter wonderland experience over the holidays this year! I'm always glad to get feedback from our guests and of course it's great to hear that your family had a good stay and enjoyed the house.
Our son and I enjoyed our stay and appreciated all the help Shelly and her husband extended to us. Very nice location on Clam Lake, and we will recommend the cottage to our family and friends.
Thanks for the review, we appreciate referrals!
Just what we were looking for
Nice house in a great location. Very quiet, but easy access to Torch Lake. The kitchen is small but adequate. Beds are comfy. Definitely recommend.
We loved our stay at Clam Lake!
The owner described it perfectly, the dock was perfect for Clam and Torch Lake access and the Grass River Nature Presetve was terrific for kayaking and hiking. It was very quiet which we liked and dark, which made for great star gazing. We had a great week overall, thanks,
Thanks so much! So glad you had a good week :-)
Welcoming Lake House
This was my family's first stay at a VRBO and needless to say I was a little anxious wondering what we would really find when we arrived but as soon as I walked in the door I felt at ease and welcomed as if I was returning to a family home.
The view of the lake is beautiful the house is clean and has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Our kids range from Age 5 to age 20 and they all enjoyed the house, in fact our 5 year old is still talking about the lake house we " lived" at on vacation and wants to return.
We also enjoyed going into the town of Belleair, great burgers at the bar and cute little shops to browse and Torch Lake is gorgeous, the boat launch is very close to the house so bring your boat to take it all in!
Also the owner was very kind and answered our questions quickly through the whole process.
If you love lake living, this house will create wonderful vacation memories :-)
So glad that your family enjoyed the house and the lake! You're welcome back anytime!
Everything we were looking for
Nice house, nice lake, and easy access to Torch Lake. Plenty of places to sleep, nice kitchen (small), and pretty clean in comparison to other rentals I've stayed in. Would recommend to others!
Northern Michigan waterfront at it's best. Peaceful, quiet location yet still close to shopping, golf and many other activities. Newer home with 2 story ceiling in great room, lake views from kitchen, sun room, great room and upstairs sleeping loft. Updated decor. Laundry room. Kitchen has all appliances, fully equipped. Just 5 minutes from spectacular Torch Lake, visit the famous Dockside Restaurant for casual dining. Turtle Creek Casino is 30 minutes drive. 40 minutes to Charlevoix and 40 minutes to Traverse City.
