What makes this house unique

These are some of the attractions I think you will enjoy together here; -Viewing The Falls - You can walk down the new city Millennium paved trail in front of the house which will lead you to the American and Horseshoe Falls as well as the Clifton Hill entertainment district. Viewing the Falls is free as well as resting in the adjacent large Victoria Park with it’s majestic trees and flowered landscaped gardens. -Clifton Hill Entertainment area – Right near the Falls there is a street that has some interesting attractions such as IMAX movies, Hershey’s Chocolate store, Coca Cola Store, A giant ferris wheel ride etc. I think your children will love all of these places. This area is within walking distance from the The Maple Leaf House. -Bird Kingdom – over 400 species of wild birds located inside in a large open space building that you can walk through and see big tropical birds up close without any cages. A great thrill for all children to see. It is within walking distance from The Maple Leaf House. -Lots of good and affordable restaurants in the area within walking distance from the house. -Safari Niagara- A short drive to a local zoo that includes Giraffes, many kinds of wild cats such as Tigers, Lions, Cheetahs, Snow Leopards etc. There are also Hippos and some Canadian Moose and Grizzly Bears. A small train inside the zoo will shuttle you to wherever you want to see first. (There is a Tim Hortons across the street from this zoo if you want to stop for a coffee and an affordable meal). -Less than a 15 mile drive north can lead you to a quaint and historic town called Niagara-on-the-lake. You will pass through the beautiful Niagara Parkway on your way that is loaded with huge landscaped mansions and grape vineyards. There is a playground located in the middle of the town square area for children to play in.

Perfect place for families!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here recently and it was a great place to stay. It was very clean and had plenty of room. It was perfect for my family with two small children and it was so close to some great sights. It was 2 mins from the bird sanctuary, 15mins from the butterfly sanctuary and 10 mins from the falls. I also can’t say enough about Paul. He not only cares for your comfort while you stay but he is very willing to help you out if you need it. My family stayed at the maple leaf house for 3 nights, and then we checked out to stay a night at Great Wolf Lodge. We planned to leave the next day, but that was when the huge winter storm hit dumping more than 30cm of snow on the area and a 30 car pileup shut down the 401. I contacted Paul and asked if we could check back into the Maple Leaf house for an extra day to wait out the storm. He not only allowed us to check back in, but did not charge us for the extra night……it was very much appreciated. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit the area.

Wonderful Experience

  • 5 of 5

Our family recently stayed in The Maple Leaf House on the first leg of our trip from Michigan, through Canada to Niagara Falls, and on to Boston and New York City. This house was perfect for us! It was cute and clean, with plenty of space, towels and bedding for our large family. There were even two cribs set up when we arrived, because the owners knew we had young children who would need them. The owner, Paul, stopped by during the week to see if we needed anything, and we talked homeschooling and history. He pointed us in the direction of a few great history spots for our kids, which was much appreciated. The house is very near to everything you would need, including the Falls, yet is located on a quiet neighborhood street. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We recently said at the Maple Leaf House and everything was great! Cute and cozy house. Very clean! Less than a mile walk to the falls. There is a walking path directly across from the house. Very nice, would recommend :)
