Welcome to Rosita's Bungalow. The many fun times and the memories afforded us on our trips south of the border, whether it be Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, Honduras, and the Caribbean inspired us to create Rosita's Bungalow. We rescued a dilapidated bungalow built in the early 1900's and after a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and money we offer you a fun space from which to enjoy our historic town and the wonderful Black Hills of South Dakota.
The furniture and fixtures were purchased during our travels, the artwork displayed is from the different Mexican states. Pat, a long time 'Parrot Head' has included Jimmy Buffett memorabilia, a quesadilla maker and a blender for your private trip to Margaritaville.
Just minutes away from the river walk, restaurants, galleries, and spa services, and the famous Evans Plunge for a 'mineral Water' dip, Test your golfing skills on the premier course of South Dakota, Southern Hills Golf Course, visit the amazing Mammmouth Site, experience the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary, all this and Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Wind Cave National Park and Custer State Park just a short drive away.
Your kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, including pots, pans, china, glassware and utensils; supplies such as paper goods are the responsibility of the guest.
The secluded back yard backs up to a forested hillside full of wild birds, with its herb garden and bird feeders it is the perfect place to relax. The outdoor space features a Chiminea outdoor fireplace and BBQ grill.

Why Pat Azinger chose Hot Springs
After years of researching this property, it became available to us in 2007, we spent that winter completely taking her down to her 'bones'; all new electrical, plumbing, walls, ceilings added a bedroom, in essence a brand new home inside the shell of a 1920's brick bungalow. The Southern Black Hills of South Dakota offer a great location to headquarter while touring the numerous National and State Parks, along with Mount Rushmore Memorial, Crazy Horse and all that the Black Hills and Badlands offer our guests.

Hot Springs Casita
Not much to add to what everyone else has said, except to say that it is my second time at the Casita and I just love its quaint coziness!
Thanks so much for your return visit, we truly appreciate!
Black Hills Gem
Loved our stay at Mi Casa. The decor and cleanliness were awesome - our twin teens also thought it was a delight. Plus it was a great location for visiting the Mammoth Site, all of Custer State Park and everything in the southern half of the Black Hills. Would recommend this to anyone who takes a look - truly a delight and a GEM in the Black Hills.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we work very hard to create lodging "Beyond the Ordinary" and truly appreciate your comments.
Cutest Bungalow Ever!
From the moment my family and I walked through the front door, we felt welcomed and at home. Very clean home! Decor is gorgeous and bright. The bathtub was a huge plus after long days of sight seeing. The people in Hot Springs are so friendly. We did not encounter one rude person. The neighbors even greeted us! It was hard for us to leave Rosita's as we enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to coming back again!
Great location, terrific house!
We spent a long weekend here with our 3 kids and had a wonderful time using this house as our base for seeing so many sites- Mt Rushmore, caves, The Badlands, etc. The house was great and had everything we needed-- although it should be noted the hot tub is closed from October until May, which was a disappointment to learn upon arrival. Otherwise the house is exactly as described and was a wonderful place to stay within walking distance of the great downtown area!! Would certainly come back!
We stayed 4 nights this time. Visited multiple area sites (Mammoth Site, Wind Cave NP, Custer SP, Badlands NP, Mt Rushmore, and even up to Devils Tower in WY). We began each day with breakfast at the Daily Bread (wonderful place!) and were delighted to return to the casita each evening. A wonderful new addition since our last visit is the hot tub. I highly recommend Rosita's Casita as a "home base" for anyone visiting the area. The decor is filled with treasures from Mexico.
I already wrote a review, why am I still;l getting this.
