Retired in 2005 and have been adventuring around the world, but love to come back to Cobb Island. My passion is fishing in the Potomac River, either from our dock or trolling for trophy sized Rock Fish in a tournament
Nancy Mullan purchased this house in 1999
We owned a house in Bethany Beach for many years but got tired of the commute and traffic going to the ocean. We looked around the Chesapeake watershed to find something with an easy commute to Washington, DC... this is it!!
Private Beach & Pier
Kayaks, Bikes, Fishing & Crabbing Equipment
Fully Equipped Kitchen
Aside from the occassional jellyfish (due to small children the lifeguard closed the beach for a few minutes), we all had a great vacation! Our 2 children (1 & 2 yrs old) got to experience many new and exciting things, like crabs! Everyone of us leaves with great memories (&pictures) of your incredible house and amazing scenery. Hopefully we will be able to visit again. Thanks!

"My entire family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this beautiful waterfront house which is a hard feat to accomplish simply because we have 3 generations of children, all of course with different interests and expectations. Our youngest daughter is a rising 5th grader, our son will be graduating H.S. and our oldest daughter will be graduating from Grad School this year.
The house was was very clean, well decorated, spacious and most importantly lived up to the owners billing of having a true gourmet kitchen which just delighted my wife as she loves to cook.
The views were spectacular, the fishing and crabbing was excellent, the local restaraunt food was fantastic, the neighbors very friendly, the kayaking a lot fun and the private sandy beach was simply icing on the cake.
We also took a ride up to Baltimore for a day and saw the Red Sox play the Orioles and visited some sights in D.C. as they are not that far away.
I highly recommend this rental property to anyone seeking a truly enjoyable relaxing vacation. We enjoyed it so much that we plan on coming back again next year!

The family has rented this beautiful home the past two summers and the past two Thanksgivings. I guess you could say we are hooked on it. You will be too! There are no negatives! The price is very fair considering what you get. Great for grandparents, parents and grandchildren. Even the neighbor on both sides of the home are special people. The location is ideal...Cobb Island is a gem. The house is well maintained and very clean. It is beautifully decorated with a large front room / family room and a large screen porch to die for. It is close to the water and has a real nice beach, particularly for the kids. We highly recommend it. The pictures will give you a good idea of what I am talking about.
Our family of 6 adults and 4 children under age 4, one and all, enjoyed so many aspects of our stay in this vacation home. The beach, ample front yard, goregous screened-in front porch with a waterfront view and a fully-equipped kitchen are just a few. The children enjoyed searching for sea glass, shells, fireflies, fishing worms, fish, and catching a crab, etc. Long walks, kayak rides, and a nearby playground rounded out the outdoor activities for all ages, too.
Our group (age 66-3 months) spent a week at Ed's and Nancy's home at the end of August and found it a delightful relaxing vacation. Everything is "as advertised." The house is just as pictured. It has high quality furnishings, comfortable beds, large TVs, weber gas grill, etc., and a spacious screened in back porch/deck with a great view facing the mouth of the Wicomico River with a view of the Potomac and Virginia coast in the distance. We enjoyed the sunrises with a cup of coffee in the mornings, playing games and puzzles and reading during the day, and waning sunlight in the evenings with margaritas and snacks.
My two grandboys - age 5 and 7 spent all day exploring the little beach and swimming with life jackets and floats around the pier and collecting shells and glass. There are a lot of birds to watch - ducks, gulls, geese. There is an osprey nest two lots over and you can watch the ospreys fish and carry their catch to their nest in a pine tree by the river. We got "old chicken-crab bait" at the little market and kept the crab trap loaded all week so that by Friday, we had enough legal crabs to have steam and eat. (In spite of the poor season.)
There is no amusement park or boardwalk and the local restaurants are very limited, but there are kayaks to explore the coast and bikes to explore the little island and that beautiful back porch and view. I highly recommend it if it what I have described sounds appealing to you.
This was our first time vacationing at this beautiful house and we all agree that it is a winner and we are coming back. The location is ideal...Cobb Island is a gem. The house is well maintained and very clean. It is beautifully decorated with a large front room / family room and a large screen porch to die for. It is close to the water and has a real nice beach, particularly for the kids. On top of all this the rental price is reasonable. It is hard to see how anyone could not have a splendid vacation here. I highly recommend it. The pictures will give you a good idea of what I am talking about.
The house was clean and inviting and the location was beautiful. Even the weather cooperated and was perfect. The house was roomy enough for our 3 generations but we all stayed outside most of the time. The kids kayaked and enjoyed the water, the men fished and cooked and the women relaxed. The neighbors were friendly but not intrusive.
