About Kathy Romersa

We live in Nashville, TN. We have been in the real estate business since the early seventies. We were one of the first to have a vacation rental on Alligator Point.

Kathy Romersa purchased this house in 2000

Why Kathy Romersa chose Alligator Point

We have built a loyal base of returning guests that enjoy the area as we know it from 1999 when we discovered this jewel of serenity.

What makes this house unique

The dramatic views of the sea and the sounds at night are melodic.

Private, no traffic, no line, fresh seafood, and adults can enjoy being cool under the house while children enjoy the sun.

Here is our review....

This was our first-time vacationing at Alligator Point. We absolutely love Pair-a-dice as well as the area and cannot wait to go back. We had an amazing week in this house which is absolutely wonderful with its charming decor as well as being supplied with everything we needed. Every room in the house was wonderful but the master bedroom was where everyone wanted to hang out when we were not on the beach!

The house is located on a great part of the beach, very near the western end where we could walk down to the point and around to the bay side. We could step out the door and be on the beach where we often saw dolphins, many sea birds, and even had a bald eagle out front early one morning. Later that day we saw four eagles circling in the sky. During the fall when we were there, we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves.

Kathy, the owner, was very helpful and dealing with her was like interacting with a longtime friend. She shared a wealth of information that made our preparation and time at the beach even more enjoyable. Thank you, Kathy, for sharing your beach home!!

The decor and overall character of this property truly captures the Florida beach house feel.

This property is simply wonderful. Once you step off of the deck steps you are 'on the beach'. The beach is quiet and secluded with only a handful of properties between you and a bid sanctuary/wildlife preserve that encompasses the next 2-3 miles of beach, perfect for long strolls along a seemingly remote island for shelling, bird watching, dolphin viewing or anything else you might enjoy. There was not a single morning that I did not observe a team of dolphins directly in front of the house, sometimes swimming and chasing fish within mere feet of the shoreline and incurred the same at every day at nearly sunset. The house is properly equipped with everything you could imagine and the kitchen was sufficient for us to prepare a full thanksgiving feast with all of the fixings. The master bedroom is layed out as such that I would be content never to venture elsewhere (except to the kitchen for food). It has a very comfortable bed, a wonderful seating area for sitting and enjoying a nap in the warm afternoon sun as well as a small table for games, a laptop, work (if you so chose) etc.

This is a remote location and thought needs to be given to obtaining groceries prior to arrival, but Kathy is very quick to offer you advice on any of the local stores, restaurants, fishing guides or any other activities. That said the seclusion and privacy of this island and this beach house are definitely worth the short drive if necessary.

The marina is within walking distance across the street and have such supplies as beer, ice, bait and a some island logo attire and in season the oasis bar and grill is also available (though it was clised during our stay).

All and all, I honestly hate to give such a great review because I would like to keep word from getting out on this secret hidden gem, but that wouldn't be fair to such a fabulous home owner. Even though she was traveling abroad she maintained contact with us for anything and was always accommodating in every way imaginable.

My family has rented along the coast multiple times a year for 20 years. We have stayed at many locations and I wouldn't say this if I didn't mean it....WE WILL BE BACK....and it will be sooner rather than later.

Owner's Response: We like Anthony believe that Alligator Point is an exceptional place after many years of driving the east and west coast of Florida. It is not for everyone that needs the commercialism of Destin and Panama City, but it is for many that love to enjoy what the area has to offer, the Monarch Butterfly flying south in the fall, fishing year round, Dolphins feeding daily, long peaceful walks along the beach, shelling, enjoying only the sounds of the sea, and watching the Sand Pipers and Sea Gulls feeding along our waters edge. It's like your on private beach. We have built a wonderful customer base in doing all that we can for our guests, no matter the time of day or where we are.Vacations are important. We all look forward to that special vacation time, as we look forward to Anthony returning soon.

The house was exactly what we wanted and much nicer than the pictures! The beaches were perfect. We saw dolphins daily, stingrays, starfish and even 3 manatees together 20 yards off the beach! There was no one on the beach so it was like our own private beach! Kathy was so welcoming and called prior to the trip to ensure me the property was in good shape after the recent Hurricane Irma. We will definitely be back!

Nice Beachfront Home

  • 4 of 5

Great home with all amenities needed right on the beach. Most time was spent walking, fishing and just hanging out away from the crowd relaxing. We enjoyed our stay in the area, had great local seafood and went to the marine lab with the kids one afternoon.

The house is welcoming and the decor add to the charm . It is clean and had everything we needed. This house is on a great part of the beach , very secluded and perfect for our family of 6. We have stayed in many houses at other beaches and on alligator point but " pair a dice" is our favorite . Wonderful new family memories were made and will be forever cherished !

Perfect vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We just had an amazing week in this house at Alligator Point. Kathy is very prompt in answering questions and getting back to me with any concerns I had. The house is very well kept and it is in a prime location on the "island"....across the street from the marina and tiki bar and of course just steps away from the gorgeous and always changing gulf. If you are looking to get back to nature, this is the place you want to be.

The beds are clean and comfortable, the towels are soft and clean. The kitchen is well stocked and the wifi worked well too.

I usually try to find a place with a screened in porch, but the sitting area underneath the house serves the same purpose (staying out of the sun) and still gives you gorgeous views. What we gained by not having a screened porch is being able to gaze at the incredible night sky with the stars amazing us with their beauty. We also saw some fantastic lightening storms from way way off in the distance at night which was breathtaking.

We highly recommend this place!

Owner's Response: We have been in the vacation rental business for almost thirty years. Having traveled the world we realize, we just don't look for a beautiful spot but cleanliness and comfortable beds are just as important. Alligator Point has its own beauty, the rest is left up to me and our cleaning service. We love feed back on how we can always improve. We appreciate the time given to us from this guests who enjoyed the natural setting that leaves one refreshed.

Can't Wait to Go Back!

  • 5 of 5

This is our first time vacationing at Alligator Point. We absolutely love the house as well as the area.

The house is immaculately kept, well equipped and all the appliances/electronics/wifi are in good working condition. The linen and dishes are of excellent quality. The living area and the master suite is huge, with plenty of seating and access to the deck. The loft is very cute with 4 identical beds and boat seating, my 10-year-old calls it his own camp.

The beach is only steps away from the house. We simply left our beach chairs on the beach overnight. The area towards the end of Alligator Point (an easy walk from the house) is enchanting. We saw many crabs, dolphins and even a small stingray!

Kathy, the owner, is very responsive to my questions. The booking process went very smoothly.

All in all, we really enjoyed our vacation at Pair-a-dice. Thank you, Kathy, for sharing your wonderful house with us!
