1BR/1BA First Floor Condo, Sleeps Four, Right on the 1st Tee
About George Oakley
Alice & I got married April of (2013). We live in Cedar Key, which is on the West coast, about 4 1/2 hours NW of the condo, She owns the Cedar Key Bed & Breakfast, and I own the Gulf Kart Co. (rentals).
George Oakley purchased this Condo in 2000
Why George Oakley chose Fort Pierce
Even though we live in Florida, in Cedar Key, we love going over to the condo at Ocean Village. It's like 'getting away' from our daily work lives, which is how it'll feel to you.
What makes this Condo unique
I choose this condo in 2000 because it is close to everything. The ocean, pool, Jacuzzi, work out room, 1st tee, tennis courts, putting green, bocce ball, shuffle board, Tiki bar, restaurant, and people. Besides buying food, you can park your car and not use it again for days. That makes it relaxing.

We really enjoyed renting this place so close to the pool and beach . If you are a golfing you are at the tee for the first hole, tennis courts right around the corner. I would have liked a map of the place but we had a great time easy walking too nice and flat bring bug spray in the summer the are relentless but that has nothing to do with the condo just a little FYI from me to you the bugs loved biting me
The Condo was nice and clean and George was helpful in every way.
Ocean Village has all you need to stay busy or just relax.
The location of this condo is perfect. Close to the pool, ocean, right by tee box #1 on the golf course, and close to the putting green. It does sleep 5 but is a bit crowded. We love staying at Ocean Village. Thank you George for renting us your condo.
Thanks for your comments.
This one bedroom had a lot of closet storage and extra room.
This condo has potential. The owner admittedly is detached and lives on the Gulf coast of Fl and hasn't been there for a couple years. The unit is small. The kitchen area is nice and probably as big as the living room space shown in the picture. The living room space is tight with two couches and a lounge chair and a corner wall mounted TV. It's in need of TLC and upgrades. The table lamp shown has no receptacle to plug it in to... The ceiling light/fans aren't controlled by wall switches but are plugged into receptacles. The living room was plugged into a three plug adapter and was falling out of the loose receptacle and initially didn't work. The A/C thermostat has an additional humidistat control wired in and if it's setting is moved, the A/C won't operate for about 24 hours. Having owned two homes and presently leasing a 2 bdrm condo, all of which have or had forced air HVAC, it's the strangest thing I've ever encountered. I've also worked in the Electric Utility industry for 32 years... Luckily I don't use A/C very often and only needed it occasionally during my stay. The Condo is literaly on the first Tee of the onsite golf course. That means they start mowing at 6:30, yes they have light bars mounted on the mowers as it wasn't even daybreak yet. Next are the congregated groups of players right outside the bedroom window, waiting for the start time of 7:30. Then it's the constant gathering of golfers 10-20 feet from the living room slider and screened porch.. The porch table and chairs are old and the leg bottoms are deteriorated due to rust. The chairs wobble due to the rug the table is set on. The front door screen looks like it's from the 1950's. If you're looking for privacy and relaxation, this is not the Condo to choose. Receptacles are few and most are so loose they should be replaced. The bathroom is dated. There were no beach chairs provided and I had to purchase one. There was an 'empty golf bag' in the hall closet - but since I don't golf it didn't matter. The front entry foyer and rear patio lights didn't work. I actually tried to investigate the front foyer light after discussing with the owner, thinking it was a bulb problem, but it appears to be a sealed LED fixture and needs replaced, or else there's a wiring problem. I had no tools to evaluate the problem further. I've rented a lot nicer Condos from VRBO at equal distance or closer to the beach at Siesta Key and Madeira Beaches on the Gulf coast and wouldn't rent this
