Perfect vacation get a way. The cottage is clean, quiet, well-maintained, nicely landscaped and located at the end of a private road. The home offers plenty of amenities and is well stocked with the essentials. The views from the deck are breath taking especially at sunset. We had our dinners in the sun room overlooking the lake, enjoying the quite of the location and cool evening breezes. Montreal is about an hour away and makes a great day trip (or two); Burlington is about an hour away as well. There's a dock, rowboat, fire pit and grill not to mention plenty of chairs....all of which were clean and well maintained. The owner can be reached via cell or text and responded within 5 minutes both times I had a question. Overall, with regards to the beauty, cleanliness and amenities offered, I think the description of the property is somewhat understated. Once you visit, you'll understand why.

September Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our stay here was so enjoyable! This cottage had everything to make our stay comfortable and home-like! The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms comfortable, and the living room was relaxing! We enjoyed our meals sitting in the great screened porch! Our dog also enjoyed himself! Only drawback was when we had to leave! Thank you Linda!

Enjoyable first family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Finally getting around to writing a review of our stay here. My family and I had a great time and the place was perfect for our first family vacation. My 3 boys (ages 1, 3, and 6) absolutely loved it. They were pretty bummed when we had to leave. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The views and sunsets from the back yard are spectacular. The location is close enough to make day trips to Burlington, Mississquoi NWR, and many VT state parks. We spent a lot of time boating and fishing as well. The only minor disappointment was that the water was so low in the lake this summer that I could not dock my boat. We have had an extreme drought in the Northeast this summer and Lake Champlain was over a foot lower than normal. In a normal year it would not have been an issue at all. Luckily the cottage is only about 1/2 mile from a public boat launch so it was easy enough to trailer the boat. Overall, I would highly recommend this cottage. Especially for families with children. There is even a small assortment of games and toys. Linda was a pleasure to do business with an very helpful.

Relaxing and Fun Filled Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our Family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful little Cottage on Lake Champlain!! We 2 Girls ages 6 & 8 Years old and they had a great time on the property in surrounding areas this Summer. We enjoyed many nice days of Fishing, Boating & Swimming down at the Dune Beach. Unfortunately, the Lake was extremely low during the Summer of 2016, so fishing from the dock or row boat really wasn't an option. However, we were able to find some nearby places to rent affordable Boats and go out on a Fishing Charter. The House and the property are absolutely perfect and extremely well maintained. Everything you need for the kitchen, grilling and evening bonfires are steps from the Cottage Doors. Remarkable Sunsets each evening make this Cottage feel like you are on the doorstep of Heaven!!

Home away from Home

  • 5 of 5

We (Me, husband, 14 month old son, sister-in-law and a friend) went here for a relaxing weekend. Although the weather was not so forgiving, with mostly rain and cold temperature, we very much enjoyed our stay here. Too bad we weren't able to use the lounge chair and the row boat nor the grill, but this place is breath taking with the lake just a step away from the cottage. What's even more breath taking is the sunset that you can actually watch from the inside porch. The cottage itself is well equipped and very nice and clean. We will consider renting this place again next time and will recommend it to family and friends.

Labor Day Wknd 2015

FINALLY getting around to leaving a review.....

We stayed at the cottage from 9/3-9/7. It was just me, my son (15yrs) & our dog. Linda was so helpful leading up to our arrival date, answering many questions since this was our 1st time in Alburgh. The cottage was very clean & very cozy. The screened-in porch with the table & chairs was wonderful for eating our meals at. Everything worked really well, the tv, dvd player, fridge, microwave, toaster & stove. There was a row boat on the property with life jackets which was awesome! We went out fishing several times. (a side note.... if you're going to fish Champlain, be ready! Our gear wasn't quite up to the test. The fish are HUGE! Use higher test line, bigger lures & bring a net :) ) Linda did a wonderful job leaving little notes around the house with helpful "tips" for things around the house. Also a binder on the kitchen table that had a lot of helpful information too, emergency numbers, hospital info, local recreation etc. The weekend was perfect! Very relaxing & exactly what I was looking for on this little getaway. Alburgh is a quaint town with lots of farms, which I love since I'm not a big city gal. If you're looking for a cozy place to relax & enjoy the scenery, this is the place! Very happy we chose this cottage & very thankful for all Linda's help.
