Perfect Little Getaway

  • 4 of 5

First, as you pull up, you are blown away by size of this home. The house appears to be small, but oddly, is quite roomy inside. We had a family of 5 in this house, and had plenty of space.

The house offers everything you need. The young kids loved the balcony overlooking the living area and had no problem staying occupied for several days. And when we took it outside, they loved to walk down the hillside and hike on the side of the mountain. Sometimes its the little things that matter, and stocked "fire starters" logs were perfect to get the fires ripping immediately.

You are about a ten minute drive to the heart of Manchester Center without all of the traffic and busy-ness and even less to the Mountain for skiing. This home is well within the budget of anyone looking to rent in this area and gives you a warm, cozy feeling of being on an intimate vacation with your family.

Also, the owners are very attentive to questions and answer emails very quickly!

Perfect Vermont Retreat close to Manchester

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful stay in a great location, between Bromley and Strattan Mtn and Manchester. The chalet is super cozy with a great fieldstone fireplace and comfortable bedding. We had plenty of room for our family of six and were pleasantly surprised with how well we fit. The only tight area is the kitchen, but the chalet is equipped with all you need to prepare meals. However, Manchester is just a mile or so away with great restaurants, bakeries, and great spots for coffee and shopping. Nice big market also very close for anything you need. We certainly plan to return.

Return Renters, VA Family

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd time staying at this lovely A frame. Everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. Lots of room despite the size and convenient to Manchester and the Mountains. It has a real Vermont feel, which is missing in so many Vermont rentals. We plan to return again and again! Burch Family, VA.

Big Fires, Cozy Nights

  • 5 of 5

Some friends and I rented this cabin for a quick ski weekend to Stratton Mountain and were more than pleased with the space when we arrived. We promptly made a roaring fire with the seemingly unlimited supply of good, dry wood and enjoyed a little bourbon and s'mores as we planned our adventures for the next day. The drive to Stratton was incredibly quick, easy, and breathtaking as the sun rose through the mountains. That night we made a big dinner in the small, but adequate and well-supplied kitchen while we indulged in more fire, s'mores, and bourbon. The place is small, but surprisingly comfortable for the amount of people we had (8). I will definitely come back here again, and highly recommend it! Thank you for a great weekend!

Wonderful ski weekend

  • 4 of 5

I recently stayed at this lovely home for a long ski weekend with 2 couples and 2 dogs. There was more than enough space for all of us and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in the evenings. The location is perfect - we loved being able to drive to both Manchester center and Bromley mountain within a few minutes. Joe was very responsive during the booking process and we did not encounter any problems with the property upon arrival. I would recommend this rental property to those looking for a comfortable Vermont retreat.

Charming cottage

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend here for hiking during peak fall foliage season. We are from Florida so it was especially stunning for us. The house was about 4 miles from Manchester Center and within 10 minutes to both the Equinox trail and Lye Brook Falls hiking trail. The house had everything we needed and was exceptionally charming. We had a fire every night with the provided wood logs and fire starters. There is a full kitchen including small but crucial utensils including wine corkscrews, coffee maker, coffee filters, mugs and wine glasses, so you don't need to go buying any of those before your arrival. Both the owners and the caretaker were responsive to our questions and needs during and before our visit. I would highly recommend this cottage and hope to rent it again in the near future! :)
