Charming House in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was perfect for our annual sister trip! The house is charming with lots of artsy touches that we loved. And the location was very convenient to the Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville. We liked that it was at a dead end, so there was little traffic and sitting on the front porch was very peaceful, the perfect place to visit. The only (minor) drawback might be for folks with mobility issues; you have to go up 4 or 5 stone steps and up the walk to the house. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Owner's Response: In the four years of running this vacation rental, folks have always left the house in wonderful condition, but we've never, ever had someone make the bed with clean sheets and leave a note that it was so. The housekeeper didn't know what to do! Thanks for the nice review!

Interesting house in a good location near the village of Biltmore.

  • 4 of 5

Despite the weather (too warm and rainy), the visit to Ashveille was very pleasant, with a comfortable stay in this quaint house. The owner's use of corks was certainly creative while overdone! We had to work on the doors from the kitchen to get to the back porch, but the rainy weather precluded the use of this space anyway. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen adequately stocked so we could cook some meals there.

However, upon leaving we were instructed to strip the beds and start the washer. But the previous tenants (or the housekeeper) had neglected to empty the dryer so that we had to do that, plus fold and put away the earlier cleaned sheets. And it did seem that the washer was overloaded when we tried to use it.

Perfect cottage for family gathering

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Brian for sharing your wonderful cottage with us in Asheville. We were able to share some wonderful meals crafted in the well-stocked kitchen and played a lot of games on the dining room table! The beds and bedding are very comfortable, the location is ideal for everything from downtown and very close to the highway for the bit of exploring we did. Your woodwork and carvings are beautiful and add a very nice touch to the property. We appreciate your hospitality!

Great house

  • 5 of 5

Had a great stay. Brian brought over firewood so we could enjoy the fire pit. We liked the artistic carpentry touches in the house as well.

Great location nice home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for three nights in early November. We went to Asheville to view the Biltmore and all the micro-breweries in the area. We were very pleased with the location of the house. It was only about a $7 uber ride to downtown. Brian the home owner was very professional and had everything we needed waiting on us at the house. He also didn't bother us at all. Once we checked in he was there for assistance a phone call away which was nice. Very reasonable rates. We will be returning to Brian's home in Asheville. Thanks again

Outstanding stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved the lovely little cottage waiting for us after a very long day of traveling. It was just perfect for 3 couples. Bedrooms with comfortable linens, nice bathrooms and plenty of space to visit made all 6 of us feel right at home. It was so convenient to visit the Biltmore Mansion. I would highly recommend this lovely cottage.
