Beautiful, don’t want to go home!
Beachhouse has everything you need to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay at a beautiful beach on Longboat Key! Enjoyed every minute of it!
Beautiful ocean view, nice outdoor space
As others have mentioned, the layout to get to the upstairs bedroom isn’t ideal with having to pass through a bathroom and climb a spiral staircase, but the house worked for us, and we’d rent here again! The kitchen had everything we needed. (Plenty of new pots and pans.) The full-sized washer and dryer were helpful, too. The deck was a great outdoor space for grilling each night. The only thing I didn’t care for was that there was another family staying in the garage during our trip. It’s in the contract that the owner may use it, but it was a little too close for comfort for me: the garage windows face the family room and bedroom windows. You lose the feel of renting a private house when another family is also on the property. But overall, it’s ocean view can’t be beat. It has a nice location— easy access to a great beach, close to a grocery store, and not too far up LBK, so you can get to the Mote Aquarium and St. Armand’s Circle quickly.
Wonderful location , fabulous view, great beach and bestever sunsets
Great property, wonderful outdoor space, very responsive property management folks! Ideal location, close to super shopping and fantastic restaurants !
Perfect Location on the Gulf
We had a great experience on Longboat Key. This house was a great fit for two families vacationing together. We loved the large deck with ample outdoor seating, the close proximity to grocery and other stores, the wildlife that was all around, and you can't beat the beach front access. A downside was the heavy traffic into Sarasota which limited our access to some of the waterfront restaurants we wanted to visit. Instead, we rode rental bikes to Tyler's for ice cream and the Lazy Lobster for a great meal. We cooked in most nights. The stove gave us some problems (crooked burners and one that only worked occasionally) and the pots and pans were limited. The inside layout is also a bit unique. You need to walk through a bathroom or go outside to reach the loft bedroom. From a safety standpoint, it didn't appear to have any working smoke detectors. The home was perfect for us and we were happy with our stay; however, the pictures posted on VRBO are a little misleading. The pictures make it look larger and more modern than it is. Again, we were happy, but I think it is better to give people realistic expectations rather than use a filter on pictures. Check-in and check-out was easy and convenient. Communication with the rental company was excellent and timely. We'd likely return to this house if we visit Longboat Key again.
Thank you for letting us know about the stove and smoke detectors. We were unaware of this and will get both fixed right away. We would have taken care of for your during your stay. The photography that you are speaking of was taken by a professional and aren't filtered. We will purchase additional pots as we do every few months. We only want our clients to experience the best vacation possible. The home is a true Florida Beach Home that we take pride in renting. The views are pretty special! Thank you for renting the Beach House on Longboat Key!
Met many of our needs. Was extremely convenient.
This property is cozy and homey. It is not completely up to date, but suited us on most levels.
The biggest set back to privacy is the public access abutting the side of the house, alongside the deck. Since it was Christmas week, there was much traffic, public foot traffic to the beach. Visitors plop themselves directly in front of our prime view, which we paid for, not them. This was so very disconcerting-especially if you wanted to take head on photos of the beautiful sunsets!
The only meal we make while we’re on vacation is hearty breakfasts. So, dealing with frypans that are bowed in the middle is not pleasant. One other thing, no matter how high you put the volume, even to the hilt, on the TV in the living space, it is barely audible. If you are going to make this rental available during Christmas vacation, then you need to have technicians willing to come out even on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day!
I would be extremely happy if there were tv’s in both first level bedrooms-and more than CNN for cable news viewing!
Cute little beach house with wonderful deck and view of the Gulf
We had a wonderful week and the deck and view were exceptional. It was lovely waking up every morning looking at the Gulf and pelicans diving for food.
The house was nice and homey and the kitchen nicely redone and well stocked. I would say that it was not great for 5 adults as the upstairs (3rd) bedroom left something to be desired (we have 2 sons in their 20s). In addition, the upstairs bathroom has a very short shower and you have to bend to get your hair wet. You really have to use the downstairs shower.
If you have small children the upstairs bedroom is not an option as it requires a steep climb up a metal spiral staircase.
I would stay there again if we only used the bedrooms on the first floor.
Longboat Key offers sophistication in a seaside town that pampers visitors. Find the world famous St. Armand's Circle just a bit south to enjoy dining, nightlife and culture.
