Paula and I, along wiht our three girls welcome you to Kiawah. We have owned the house since 2004 and have done several remodeling activities to enhance the experience at our house. We are all beach lovers and Kiawah has provided us with a great getaway, just four hours from Charlotte.
Cesar & Paula Gonzalez purchased this house in 2004
I remember going to Kiawah to see properties, just having arrived from China the night before on a business trip and driving down on a rainy day. I thought it was crazy, but when I saw the island and dolphins swimming, I knew that was the place for our family to spend our vacations.
Since then, we have enjoyed staying at our house during all times of the year. The summer is great due to all the activities, but winter is also outstanding, with temperate weather and somewhat of a private feel. There are days when we have had the beach all to ourselves.
We like Inlet Cove because it provides all the benefits of being in Kiawah, while providing a nice private setting. Paula and I enjoy seeing the sunset from the deck by the Inlet Cove pool, while the kids are playing. It is a great place to just sit with your favorite dring.
My husband and our two adult children stayed at this house the weekend before Christmas. It was very clean and well appointed. The home is a short and very pretty walk to the beach and to the dock area. The weather was rather nasty so we were unable to fish or go crabbing, but we did ride the bikes and walk the paths. We had a couple of questions when we arrived. The owner and the property manager returned my calls and texts within five minutes...VERY NICE! Charlie and Shesho, our fur babies, also loved the house and Kiawah. If you are traveling with pets, this house is pure gold! Would I recommend staying here? Yes!
We started coming to this cottage in 2008 and have already booked our month next year. It has become our home away from Maine winters! Our family has visited us while we are here and love Kiawah also. We are retired and travel with our two dogs. This pet-friendly cottage is wonderful.
We love Inlet Cove. The beach is a short walk. The cottage owners have provided bikes that are a great bonus - Kiawah has so many great bike paths. One year we rented kayaks and were able to launch them from the Inlet cove dock.
Freshfields Village is a few miles from Inlet Cove and has shops, restaurants, and a Harris Teeter. There is a bike path the whole way from Inlet Cove.
The cottage is comfortable and clean and the kitchen is well provided with utensils. Of course, we have our favorite restaurants in the area also.
We decided to ring in the new year in Kiawah, sc and didnt know what to expect. Our stay was just about perfect. There so many things for the whole family even our pets! We roder bikes which are included with the stay. Went crabbing (they also provide the crab trap), took in a spectacular sunset at the dock which is just a short walk away. The beach is also very accessible. We experience nature up close. Saw dolphins and all kind of fascinating wild life. The kids just love to go on bike rides and carbbing. Temperatures were mild for December. The grocery store is just a short drive away. We have already booked our next trip back! My only regret about the stay is that we could not say longer. The house was comfortable, clean and beautiful. We could not have picked a better spot for our vacaiton.
The house was beautiful and very relaxing. Everything my family and I needed was available to us, I am currently looking into when my family and I can get there again. The trip was fantastic
We had a lovely stay. Bikes were great, we cycled all over the island and several rides for miles on the beach. The house was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. We saw lots of wildlife and the beach was beautiful, very gently sloping, and the water carribean warm as usual.
The house was perfect for our vacation. We loved the location...not a long walk or bike ride to the beach or the pool. All our needs were more than met. The house was very clean and had quality items throughout. The only thing I would changed are the mattresses on the two queen beds. They were very firm or stiff....wasn't what our backs were use to. No one slept in the twin room to comment. Even with the extra firm beds, we would return to that home for next year for two weeks again!
Our house is located in Kiawah Island, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy activities almost every day of the week. From the Nature Center located at Night Heron Park, to the Carnivals, Parades, Concerts and special events that take place at the park and at Freshfield's. You will never want to leave.
Other Activities: finding seashells, catching crabs, seeing dolphins
