About Owner/Property Manager

I am retired and was born in Manistee Presently I live in midmichigan. It is a fantastic, trouble free vacation home. My brothers built this cabin. Great place for a family with a pet.

Owner/Property Manager purchased this cabin in 2000

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Michigan

You will love taking a walk through a nature park and arriving on a pristine Lake Michigan beach. Or take 4 mile drive to the beautiful small town of Manistee. It has 2 great public beaches as well as marinas and many small shops. Late summer and early fall it has some of the best salmon fishing in the country. Charter boats are available.

What makes this cabin unique

You will love the simplicity of this setting. It's in a quite setting with room to explore. Cable tv and all the comforts of home.

great!

Beautiful cabin, very spacious. Large deck with BBQ. Very quiet. Walking distance to Lake Michigan.

Only possible cons: almost no cellphone reception. That was mostly a plus for me though..

Amazing!

We loved our stay! The home is beautiful! It has everything you need and reasonably priced. The house is in a fairly secluded area yet close to beautiful beaches and tourist attractions. Owners are very kind. We will definitely be back.

Clean, quiet, wonderful gem in the middle of a majestic Manistee forest.

  • 5 of 5

We were in awe of this gorgeous spot set in a Harry Potter like forest. We were minutes from near deserted beaches, which were wonderful for walks, looking for beach glass, petoskey stones & driftwood. The sunsets & sunrises were breathtaking, but the walks down were a workout with steep sandy hills. We loved walking our dogs up and down the road, which was always serene & quiet. The cabin had plenty of sleeping room, a kitchen large enough for cooking wonderful meals and a big table for playing games and eating meals together. At night we enjoyed bonfires next to the house and toasted smores. Downtown Manistee as well as convenient and grocery stores are only a 10-minute drive with shopping, restaurants, bars and icecream shops. Also downtown is a great boardwalk (barrier free) that you can walk along and look out onto the river and see the boats. 5th Avenue Beach is a public beach, which is only a 15-minute drive from the cabin and couldn't be more perfect for enjoying a day at the beach. Sandy, with crystal clear, clean, rock free Lake Michigan water for swimming. There is a also a great pier along the beach that you can walk down and jump off into. We absolutely fell in love with this up North oasis. There is no doubt, you will too!

Exactly what we wanted--quiet, cozy, great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Great cabin, it was exactly what we wanted. Secluded and very quiet, yet just 2 minutes from the Lake, and a few minutes more to Manistee. The beaches nearby were great, yet very few people. A great place to take our dog as well--we loved it, and will certainly book again.
