Fabulous Family Vacation Home!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Klinger's Lake Henry house! The layout of the bedrooms and baths provided plenty of privacy for our three-generation group. The house has such comfy furniture, throws, and throw pillows, plus a well-equipped kitchen with two stove tops. The massive windows and sliding glass doors offer gorgeous views of the lake - especially at sunset. Our whole family fit at the round table on the deck where we had some unforgettable dinners enjoying the sunset. Loved the hot tub and the landscaping of the yard - which is completely private. The kayaks were a great way to explore the lake where we saw bald eagles, blue heron, king fisher, and osprey. Such a tranquil lake - hardly ever saw a motorboat, only the occasional fishermen. Speaking of fish, my daughter caught a 21" large mouth bass right off the dock! Side trips included hikes in the Lacawac Sanctuary and Eales Preserve, and a night of baseball, cheering for the local Railriders in Scranton. We were all sad to leave today, but will hopefully book again next year. Thank you, Troy, for being so quick to respond and easy to work with!
Great lake house experience
Great place to stay. Beautiful house, spacious and well kept. It came stocked with plenty of extra items that you may sometimes forget. My only gripe is that it lacks AC which was a big challenge with 95+ Weather the first few days. I would come again for sure
Beautiful Lakeside home on Lake Henry
Great location for a relaxing get away. I live on Lake Henry and needed space for additional guests. The house is well appointed and right on the lake, perfectly located for viewing the amazing sunsets and the bald eagle that has a nest near by. The kayaks were a great way for guests to explore the lake. The property was clean and well-maintained, the description was very accurate and the owners were very easy to work with. I highly recommend this property.
A fantastic rental with very nice owners
A fantastic rental! I took my 3 daughters and my mom and we had a great time. Plenty of space and room to do many activities. The kayaks were awesome as was the firepit at sunset. We caught many fish from the dock and overall had a lovely vacation .
Lake Henry Getaway
We had the pleasure of staying at the Lake Henry house last week. We had two family groups both with two adults and two kids. We had so much fun at the lake. The lake house is beautiful and there is plenty of room for the group of people we had with us. With four bedrooms and three bathrooms each set of adults had their own room and the boys and girls each had a room. We made sure to pack all of our groceries because the plan was to not leave the camp once we got there. It was so nice to be able to park the car and not leave again until it was time to go home. We had a great time using the kayaks, canoe and row boat. We also brought along our own river tubes to float around in the lake too. I would absolutely recommend staying at the lake house and we look forward to going back again.
This was by far the vacation well beyond our expectations. The lake home and the property are very well maintained. My youngest daughter(11) and I arrived 1st and entered the home and immediately got the goose bumps when saw the huge open living room with the view from the lake to the sky. We then went to the kitchen, which is exceptional because it has 2 cook tops and everything you need to prepare any meal. She found a treat and a cold drink. Next we went to each of the 4 bedrooms that all have their own warm theme and made it fun to pick out our rooms. My wife and my other daughters(13) (15) and their friend arrived and toured the home including the 2 full bathrooms and the on suite in the master bedroom. No fights over a bathroom all week. We unpacked as quick as we could, there is plenty of closet space in each room. The mud room with washer/dryer is a plus.Everyone had the same same idea as they emerged from their rooms in their swim suits. A run down long yard, across the dock, and right into the lake to cool off as the sun was beating down at about 90 degrees. We bought our 18 ft boat and moored it at the dock all week. After our swim it was time to take turns on the tire swing in the shade. Then off to the outdoor shower to rinse off the lake. By that time the jacuzzi was just right to relax in while we watched birds flying from the island over to the trees in the yard. This was just the beginning. We opened the garage to unpack the mountain bikes, get our fishing gear ready, and the girls spotted the kayaks and before I could inflate the new tube for the boat the next adventure began.(Rent Troy's Kayaks!) For the next 6 days we biked, swam, tubed, fishing is amazing, hiked, picked mushrooms and blueberries, flipped the canoe and a kayak, boat ride at sunset, cat fished from the dock, sat by the fire pit each night"S'mores", shopped the local farmers market, grocery store, winery, dinner at John's Italian restaurant "ate like vikings", 3pt challenge in the driveway, ping pong tourney/mini basketball in the garage, played half of the 50 games available, manhunt at night, stargazed, watched birds and wildlife daily, floated the lake in tubes, played queen of the stump, got the boat stuck on a stump the neighbor kindly marked it with a buoy, sunbathed on the massive deck 20 ft apart, bbq'd almost daily, wiffle ball, etc, etc. Believe it or not, the 3 things we did most was lounged, laughed, and loved our time together at this amazing lake house.
