A peaceful moment in a busy life

  • 5 of 5

I most certainly enjoyed my stay while visiting from out of state. It was fantastic and I have many photos of the gorgeous views and bold streams. I spent many hours lounging outdoors while listening to the water flowing endlessly downstream and stared at the single cloud in the most beautiful of blue skies. The birds would sing to me in the morning as I quietly sipped my morning coffee so not to disturb the baby deer nearby. I walked through downtown and the many shops with everyone stopping to talk to me and ask about where I was from. It is so friendly in Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. I actually purchased land there after my brief visit and plan to build my very own someday soon. Everyone should come visit.

Staying at Ken's cabin was a fantastic experience. The cabin was extremely clean, well organized and in a prime location. I will certainly be staying at the cabin again and encourage everybody else to do so.

Cozy cottage on the river

  • 4 of 5

The applehouse was perfect for our trip celebrating our 45th anniversary! After driving eight hours, we were able to relax and enjoy the comforts of home while being only minutes from local attractions and beautiful vistas. The decor is so much fun and listening to the Rocky Broad River really soothing. I highly recommend. Caretaker was prompt and courteous, too.

The River View Cabins are in a great location for that "escape from reality" with the location on the river and the privacy you have, while at the same time a great location to go out on adventures like white water rafting that you and your group had the opportunity to participate in. Great stay in riverfront cabin.

  • 5 of 5

My family & I had a great time in Bat Cave. The cabin was very cozy. Fireplace was great. The huge enclosed porch overlooking the river was perfect for the kids to play games and for the adults to relax and wake up with a great view while waking up with a cup of coffee in the am.

The cabin is located just a few miles from Chimney Rock one way and only a few miles from Moonshine Mountain where my kids & I had a great day of mountain tubing.

On the drive back to Fl the kids kept trying to "work a deal" to go back next year. I`m fairly certain they had a great time as well.
