A little slice of heaven in North Carolina

  • 5 of 5

We decided to spend a few days in the North Carolina mountains last month. We were so excited to book a cabin with River View Cabins again. Our last trip was in 2011 and we loved our stay in their Sunflower cabin so we knew exactly where we wanted to stay again. When you know a good thing, you stick with it. We enjoyed our stay even more this time. The scenery right off the cabin's back deck is incredible. It is a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the many beautiful areas in the North Carolina mountains. The soft sounds of the river right off the back deck is so relaxing. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. You can tell the owner takes pride in keeping the cabins in tip-top shape. It had every needed appliance and many other amenities including free Wi-Fi so we could plan our days or keep in touch with friends online. The people staying in the Berry Patch cabin let us take a peek inside and it was equally nice in every way. I would encourage anyone to stay at River View Cabins when they visit the area.

Great place to stay in a beautiful area!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the Applehouse. The house was comfortable and we were able to spend great family time in the stream. We ventured into Lake Lure and Chimney Rock and did Zip lining at the Gorge. Beautiful there and we will be going back. Thank you Ken for a great stay.

Cozy cottage on the river

  • 4 of 5

The applehouse was perfect for our trip celebrating our 45th anniversary! After driving eight hours, we were able to relax and enjoy the comforts of home while being only minutes from local attractions and beautiful vistas. The decor is so much fun and listening to the Rocky Broad River really soothing. I highly recommend. Caretaker was prompt and courteous, too.
