Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring, take in breathtaking westerly views of very private Niquette's Bay near Mallette's bay in Colchester Vermont. The lovely post and beam home features a modern kitchen, air-conditioning, wireless high-speed internet, washer/dryer, outdoor brink oven, an amazing over-sized floating dock and 100 feet of waterfront. Melt away in a soothing soak in your private hot tub overlooking the tranquil lake views.
Truely the best of both words; enjoy the undisturbed natural tranquility nestled deep in the woods along a private road, while being just minutes from fine dining, shopping and entertainment offered by Burlington Vermont's Church Street Marketplace and downtown.
Summer time: Enjoy excellent fishing, boating and exploring Lake Champlain just steps from your back door. Relax sunbathing or enjoying the view while fishing with off from your private dock. The water is clean, clear and refreshing offering a cozy sandy bottom.
Winter: Snowmobile to the VAST trail less than a mile from your door. Or zip up to the Mountain less than an hour away! (Stowe, Smugglers Notch, or Bolton Valley - VT's best ski resorts just minutes away). Ice fisherman look no further - Niquette's bay is the known to be the best on the lake, but so private that it's nearly impossible to gain access, but you'll only walk a few steps to the frozen lake!
Can not beat the location on the lake, peaceful, relaxing and just beautiful. Fun was had by all and we look forward to staying again!
Great house! I would say is more comfortable for 8 ppl due to the bathrooms but we loved it. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake!
The cabin was everything we had hoped for - we especially enjoyed the beautiful lake views. We had a bald eagle pay a visit and enjoyed watching it fly around. It was great to sit around
the wood burning stove and watch a movie and see the snow fall outside. We even warmed up in the hot tub and walked through the snow with our barefeet!
The neighboring towns were great to visit, Burlington, Stowe and Winooski all still decorated
with holiday lights.
We were very comfortable in the house and are already planning a visit next year. Thank you it was great!
We loved the house... the site had a beautiful view of the lake. Well maintained and very clean (cleaning cost seemed very high). Property manager was more than helpful with the few minor problems we did have .Even went out of his way to deliver a few items left behind.
The only down side of this rental is the fact that there is only one bathroom available even though there is a master bedroom and bath on the lower level which was inaccessible to renters. The bedroom which is considered the master is in rear of house and has no view. Other than that, we were very happy and would definitely rent this house again...especially if the real master bedroom were opened up to use.
Restaurants in the area are few but Burlington is just a short trip. Tratorria Delia is one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever been to and certainly worth a twenty minute ride.
I did not intend to say that activities in the area not recommended. The area is fantastic.
Ours was a party of 5: 2 adults, 2 college students, and 1 high schooler. The house was perfect for us. Plenty of room, an Apple TV that we hooked up to our laptop to watch the pathetic presidential debate, a well-stocked kitchen, and the most beautiful scenery. The house was clean and comfy.
The location was especially great...far off the main road, but with easy access to the highway so that we could visit Burlington and go apple picking at Shelburne Orchard. So while we felt secluded (a positive for us), in actuality, we were near all the attractions that interested us.
Kyle provides a binder full of helpful information as well as instructions for things on the property. He really has made it so that all you have to do is pay the rent, pick up after yourself, and enjoy. We would definitely stay here again. I would love to go back in the summer, when the dock is out and we could enjoy lake activities.
We had a wonderful week at 1514 Grandview Road. So relaxing sitting on the dock early evening with a glass of wine and good company. The house is very comfortable, views amazing, and close to downtown. Since there is only one bathroom, an outdoor shower would have been useful. Other than that, all was great! Thank you so much!!
