This immaculate 3BR/2BA home plus loft is 2600 square feet. The Master Bedroom has a king size bed, ceiling fan,huge walk in closet, and an armoire that hides a 26' Flat Panel with Dish Network. The master bathroom is large with dual sinks and a shower with multiple heads to hit those muscles after a long day of hiking. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, large closet, ceiling fan and a dresser. The second bathroom has a single sink and a tub/shower combination. There is a linen closet in this bathroom as well. Third bedroom has been converted into an office for those who need to telework. The stairs to the loft are off of this room. The loft contains two twin beds as well as a day bed with a trundle bed underneath. There is a large seating area with a couch and two chairs. There is a 37' flat panel television with Dish Network. The living room has two sleeper sofas and a comfortable rocking chair. There is also a 42' televsion with Dish Network. A saddle for kids to play upon as well as 4 barstools make up the rest of the living room area. The dining area has a large table that easily seats 6 people.
The kitchen has updated stainless steeel appliances. Refrigerator, stove, sink with disposal, dishwasher, and microwave. There is a laundry closet next to the kitchen with front load washer and dryer.
Wireless internet is available throughout the house.
There is a two car attached garage with a propane grill. Please use it on the driveway as there is a fire danger in the area so I do not want to put this on the decks.
The front porch is large and has a kids picnic table. The back deck is huge with a large table, 6 chairs, one chaise, and a smaller table. Lots of entertaining and meals will be out on the deck.
Located in the area is a private 25 acre lake which is stocked for excellent fishing and does not require a license as it is a private lake or a picnic is just minutes away.
Small pets are accepted with a $50 fee per pet. There is a limit of two (2) small pets. ( A small pet to me is an animal less than 20 pounds). Please keep outside animals outside. Please no pets on any of the furniture. Please clean up after your pet around the house.
My wife and I are extremely blessed to have this house in Bayfield. We currently live in Austin, TX and have been looking for property in the Durango/Pagosa Springs area for several years. My wife's family is from the area and I fell in love with it 25 years ago when I first visited. Our children are grown and they truly love the property to bring their friends for a vacation away from it all.

This home is so convenient to everything. Close to Durango and an airport with major airlines, close to the Hot Springs of Pagosa Springs, Vallecito Reservoir is right up the road and several ski areas within an hour to two hour drive. Fly fishing, hunting and any and all outdoor activities are minutes away.
This house is at the end of a road so you will not get much if any traffic. Neighbors are friendly and close enough in case of emergency but out of your view unless you look real hard into the distance. Sitting on the back deck is the most amazing thing about the house. Watch turkey, mule deer, elk, fox, and other wildlife while sitting on the deck enjoying the day.

We had a great time staying at this vacation home in October. It was well maintained, stocked and clean when we arrived. There were 8 adults and 6 children and it accommodated us just fine. It is situated in a great location to get to all the entertaining things in the area. It is very peaceful and the kids enjoyed the deer that showed up almost daily. We especially enjoyed the deck and BBQ grill. The owner is nice and very helpful. Thanks for allowing us the privilege of staying at your vacation home.
We stayed there for a month and had a delightful experience. The home is very well maintained and worked well for us and our family. We thoroughly enjoyed the wildlife that passed through the property - lots of birds, deer, and turkeys. The owner was very helpful and always available by phone to assist us as needed. There is so much to do in the area. I think the scenery in this area is the best in the country. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to our friends.
Cabin was clean, spacious and conveniently located. The owner provided information on local restaurants and activities. We would definitely come again.
If you want to stay off the beaten path in a refreshing, stately, tall ponderosa mountain forest, but close enough to the Durango etc. attractions this home is a prime choice for you. The rental is located at the end of the road in a spacious mountain retreat subdivision. The home is nicely appointed and well maintained with wood floors. Appliances are top notch and beds are comfy with plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. The loft is a plus for larger families, etc. The drive to Durango via county roads is very scenic, but efficient as well. Vallecito and Lemon Lakes are close by. This is a great place to savor the appeal of western Colorado.
We all had a fantastic time. We live in hot country around Phoenix, Arizona and we couldn't get enough of the fresh pine air and sitting on the deck early in the morning with a cup of coffee. We were a party of 10, 5 adults and 5 children. We had a busy schedule sightseeing but it was great coming back to the house and the quiet. The kids loved the loft and we all enjoyed the deer walking around the community. The guys enjoyed a fun afternoon fishing at the lake. It was beautiful!!
