We really enjoyed our stay at Treetop cottage!
It as all we needed for our family vacation.
It is well located near by Bar Harbor's village and Acadia national park.
The house is clean and quiet and have a lot of space to accommodate 6 adults.
During our stay we did some road bike, hiking and we went to the beach (all without using our car).
Next time we will bring our dog!
The location of this house was absolutely perfect. Walkable distance to down town and only a few minute drive to Acadia park entrances. The house was clean and cozy. Great place. Would highly recommend.
One of the best houses I have booked online. Allan made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and the house was absolutely beautiful. I am certain I will try booking this house again when I visit Acadia again. Thank you Allan for making our stay comfortable.
Lovely place; cabin feel. Large deck with grills. Wished we could have spent more time there. Property manager very accessible by email and phone. Clear directions to the entrance of the house.
Upon arrival my overall impression was positive. The logistics of checking in were simple and straight-forward. Over a three night/four day stay this cottage provided the basic essentials that we were looking for. I agree with another review I read in which this rental would not be satisfying for someone looking for a "house" with all of the bells and whistles. The title "Secluded Treetop Cottage" says it all. This rental provides a clean, warm, comfortable, convenient atmosphere with the basic amenities. Despite being located right on a main road, the traffic noise was not a bother because there are no windows on the side facing the main road. However, we stayed during mid-October and I could see this being different during the summer months with the windows and sliding doors open. The feeling of seclusion was definitely there because the cottage is tucked right into a stand of beautiful maple trees. Again, during the summer months I am sure this aspect helps keep the cottage nice and cool on hot days. There was truly nothing negative about our stay in this rental property. The only thing I would note is that some decorations/appliances are a little outdated and the kitchen and dishwasher are a little small.
This was our first time using a home Away rental. I must say I will never do a hotel again. Allan the owner was very prompt to reply to any of our emails. I spoke with him on the phone after reserving the cottage you can tell he really loves Maine and the Bar Harbor area. First off it is a cottage/cabin not a house it is rustic. But on that note it does have everything you need washer dryer, dishwasher, two bathrooms. The kitchen and laundry room and living room and bedrooms were all well-stocked. It reminds me of going to the lake cabins where we live. Very convenient to everything you need in Bar Harbor minutes from the grocery store and fun shops within walking distance in my opinion. Acadia was a five minute drive to the front entrance of the park and most of the main attractions. We have two teenage children and it was great to have room to spread out.we had rain two of the four days that we were there. It was wonderful to come back when there was a downpour and have room to spread out and relax! Made the rainy days enjoyable instead of the kids trying to kill each other in a tiny hotel room.
Secluded treetop cottage, one mile from downtown shops. Restaurants, Cinemas, Bars, Whale watching. Golf, biking, hiking, kayaking,
