Guestbook comments from the owner

Hello Carmen,

I am really sorry for the delay in contacting you. We had a fabulous holiday and absolutely loved your beautiful lodge. Ray was like a seven year old at Disney World, he was so excited! He was almost overwhelmed with the choice of fishing spots. He says it was actually a bit like being on the set of a Disney movie... standing out in the river watching a herd of elk cross over to the other side, a golden eagle swooping across the sky; moose sheltering in the woods from the rain.... and of course the black bear that ambled down and took a drink form the Gallatin, before crossing over to the other side! (Luckily the bear appeared on the last day when Ray was by himself and I was relaxing in your lodge because I probably wouldn't have gone near the river again!) It's a long, long way from life in Belfast!

Kind Regards,

Hilary

Beautiful home with river view

  • 5 of 5

This home was so comfortable, well laid out, stylish, and in a convenient location- it has everything! My younger son loved the upstairs loft bedroom. The river was rushing at full capacity due to the snow run off (early June). This made it hard to explore or interact with the river, although the sound was very nice. It's also not that pleasant to walk from the house because the walking trail is next to a busy road with many trucks going by due to all the new homes being built in Big Sky. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay and felt very cozy and pampered in this gorgeous home.

Owner's Response: So glad you felt at home in our cabin, just love being so close to the river! The river is flowing full with snow melt and is such a nice element to be by. Thank You, Joanna

Great Spot for exploring Big Sky, Gallatin Valley, and Yellowstone!

  • 5 of 5

The location of this house for discovering the Big Sky area is perfect. The creek flowing by the house is hypnotic and the patio is perfect for relaxing, outdoor dining, and views of the mountain. The house is very comfortable, well appointed, and everything was in working order. My only watch out is that the house does not have a full size outdoor grill (a small "tail gate" grill" is there and is passable. The house is right next to the trail and is perfect for runs, and walks. It is also very convenient to the emerging town of "Big Sky" with neat craft beers, grocery, and restaurants and all of the hiking trails. If you are looking to plan activities also highly recommend Montana Whitewater Company. They offer one stop convenience to book rafting, zipline, horseback riding, and trout fishing guides. If you want to explore Yellowstone, it's only a 45 minute drive to the west entrance of the park.

Beautiful spot along the river.

  • 5 of 5

We spent several evenings sitting outside enjoying the river. The road is close to the house, but the river flow neutralizes much of the road noise. It seems very secluded even though a neighboring house sits nearby

The house is well maintained and very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with utensils and pans for cooking. Joanna, the owner, is very pleasant and contacted us several times to make sure our stay was going well.

This is a great place to stay in Big Sky
