About Kim Risolo

This house was built by my father in 1992 and when our family was not enjoying it ourselves we rented the entire house out as a vacation home. I recently moved to Puerto Morelos and am now running the house as a bed and breakfast.

Kim Risolo purchased this villa in 1992

What makes this villa unique

You can now enjoy the benefits of staying in a large 3,000 square foot Mexican Villa without the cost of renting the entire house. Because we live on site you always have someone available to answer any questions - where are the good restaurants, which ruins or cenotes should you go to and how do you get there, how and where do you exchange money, how do you make a phone call to the states, etc. Any question or concern you may have we can help you with.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a Gem..

  • 5 of 5

We have traveled extensively in Mexico and have stayed at a lot of places, but Casa Sueno is a true Gem, you are in a lovely home, minutes from the beach, ' actually 5 mins ' and a very pleasant walk into the center of town.

Kim is a fantastic host with a truly inexhaustible knowledge of Puerto Morelos, and places to visit and things to do + her restaurant recommendations are spot on.

If you have never tried a B&B then i would highly recommend Casa Suenos for a truly fabulous stay.

Casa de los Suenos is a Jewel in Puerto Morelos

  • 5 of 5

Kim and Jim are wonderful hosts. This is our second time at los Suenos renting the king suite. We emailed them a day in advance to advise what time we would be arriving. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Kim, Jim, Gupo and Maggie where we caught up on the past year. The king room is very comfortable and with the windows open has a gentle breeze blowing thru. The room does have air conditioning but we did not need it with the windows open. Bathroom is great with a double shower, whirlpool tub, 2 sinks and drinking water in stainless steel containers. The villa is a 5 minute walk to the beach with a 15 or 20 minute walk to the town square. Breakfast is healthy and delicious with breads, fruit, yogurt, juice, eggs and a variety of cereals. At the rear of these villa is a great little area with a table and small pool that is refreshing after a day of touring Kim's recommended favorites in PM. My wife and I highly recommend Villas de los Suenos to anybody looking for a B&B in Puerto Morelos. We will be back next year.

Charming villa that was comfortable, clean with great hospitality!

  • 5 of 5

The owners went out of their way to make our first time visit to Mexico a wonderful experience. The king room was spacious, clean and comfortable for our week in Puerto Morelos. The suggestions for restaurant dining were excellent, the beach was just five minutes away and the town square very easy to reach by walking, bicycle or car. The breakfasts were delicious and healthy. We would definitely recommend this lovely little villa to our family and friends.

We loved Casa de los Suenos!

  • 5 of 5

Kim and Jim were wonderful hosts. They greeted us upon arrival, and instantly made us feel at home! Their home and rooms were adequately described. Their hospitality was exemplary! They were very knowledgeable about the community and guided us with taxi services, places to go, and led us to meet local people from Puerto Morelos and experience their culture who live and work in the area. From the farmer's market to the local restaurants, all were superb and plentiful, we were never disappointed. This is not a town of many tourists, rather, a town that has a very relaxed atmosphere mixed with Mayan culture with international visitors and residents. We arrived as strangers and left as friends - we recommend Casa de los Suenos!

Quiet, relaxing vacation with wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Casa de los Suenos for four nights in April 2017. We stayed in the palapa room, which is very private, on the third floor of the house and has a beautiful view of the ocean. This room does not have a/c like the other two rooms but we knew that when booking, and the ceiling fan plus the ocean breezes that flowed through the room from the windows on three sides had us sleeping like babies. The private balcony off the palapa room was also a lovely place to relax or nap, and the room has a small fridge, coffee maker and hair dryer which were nice extras. Beach/pool towels are provided too. The home is well maintained and clean, a short walk to Unico beach club (great food, fantastic massages), and about a 15 minute walk to town (or a 25 peso cab ride) to some amazing restaurants. We did not have a bad meal in our entire time there. Kim and Jim are friendly, welcoming hosts who have a wealth of knowledge and tips about the town and surrounding areas, things to do (we visited some cenotes one day), but we were mostly there to unwind and relax. The breakfast was exactly what we wanted - fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, Kim's amazing homemade granola, local baked goods and honey, yogurt, etc. Coffee was delicious! Puerto Morelos is a lovely little town and we felt very safe walking home after dinner. If our travels bring us back to Puerto Morelos we will definitely stay here again! Thank you Kim and Jim!

Wonderful Host

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Kim's place. Exactly what we were hoping for. Helpful/knowledgeable host, clean room, great access to beach front and a delicious breakfast with top notch coffee con leche to boot. Also, good fun to take the bikes into town. Perfect re-entry for our family vacation.
