Overview

About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 3

The Gravois neighborhood and especially Cherokee Street have begun a comeback to 21st century life, interests, artistic creativity and your neighborhood cafe with internet. A vibrant and growing community with a world-wide reputation for hipsters fashionistas.

We are within walking distance to Gravois Park, itself dates from 1812 and was praised for its beauty as far back toNo the nineteenth century.

This neighborhood exists unlike anywhere else, with a 22nd century melting flavor that exists by totally accepting of others. On Cherokee, the majority of those wild others, can mean you might see them several times around in a single day. Our characters, leaders, rockers, workers, even slackers are fixtures in our daily landscape. Citizen's stroll safely, pimped hoopdies (cars) roll, accessories, sunglasses and flashy style are adorned by regular folk who become quasi-celebrities. Together, while you stay in our studio, we too will celebrate you and where you've come from like all the other people who make life on Cherokee Street special and artsy.

Travelers to St. Louis will enjoy the privacy of this single studio while staying in St. Louis' arts and music community. Just minutes from bakeries, taco stands and mexican grocery stores, numerous concert venues, bars and eateries.

You’ll be able to check the nearby Cherokee scene, stay comfortable in every season with central heat and wall air-conditioners, refurnished hardwood floors, ridiculously high ceilings (16 feet in some areas), ample storage space, high efficiency windows and washer/dryer. The recycle bin is with-in walking distance.

Sleeping :

-1 double bed and a leather couch.

Kitchen :

-Fully stocked kitchen, refrigerator and freezer, stove and oven.

Heating in the winter is included too

We have an off street parking space included.

You can easily visit many of the cities attractions including Anheuser-Busch Budweiser brewery with it's Clydesdale Stables, the Cathedral Basilica, St. Louis Union Station, the Gateway Arch, the Missouri Botanical Garden or perhaps a St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Rams or the St. Louis Blues game. Chances are, a visitor to St. Louis will have to choose attractions wisely, as it is nearly impossible to see them all.

Here on Cherokee … Costuming is commonplace.

We hope you come for Festivals occur several times a year, while the elaborate impromptu parades are no surprise to us. Celebrations are frequent and light hearted. Networking is a weekly scheduled event and a repetitive daily occurrence. Our neighborhood walks their dogs, heads to get a coffee and some wi-fi, to a client meeting, to their studio as kids bike home from the pool or convene for an evening basketball game. Many freelance or owns their business independently. Spirit, artwork and music, small and large, are in every crack and on every street sign. Professionalism and partying, friendship and co-working, romance and responsibly seem to be in a perfect balance and harmony.

Together we are a celebration of all walks of life and every art form.

We hope you can be apart of the magic of Cherokee Street.

Guestbook comments from the manager

A great little studio, although slightly out of town if just doing St Louis in two nights. Their staff was fab and easy to contact and the studio was clean with everything you needed. Had a great time visiting St Louis ... Shame it wasn't for longer!

Cock roach infested ,creepy crawlers roach motel

  • 1 of 5

It looks just like the pictures however they don't tell you that you have several cockroach roommates you will have to share the bed.bath & kitchen and they love to crawl in your suitcase and hangout in your clothing. I came to St Louis for my Granmothers funeral and the families houses were packed so I picked this rental and the first day I killed a few roaches no big deal the day of the funeral I went in my suitcase trying to get dressed and their were roaches in my Suitcase and I was horrified and I called Perry at 6:00 A.M and and emailed him he didn't answer I called him back at 9:00 he answered and said he wasn't aware he would make this right. During the funeral he text me asking if he could refund me the cleaning fee to avoid the bad review .I called him from the cemetery and he said he said he wanted to go and spray and I asked if I could remove my clothes first but I was at the repast and I couldn't leave right then he agreed. I left my family early and when I called he said they had already sprayed. I was pissed and I said I was uncomfortable sleeping with the roaches and asked if I could I have a refund for the following two days I had left so I could go to a hotel he said he was only authorized to give me The cleaning fee. and I told him I was insulted that roaches are crawling in my clothes and you refuse to give me money for the following days not even asking for the days I stayed previously and you see them for yourself and he simply asked for my pay pal account and said I can only give you cleaning fee. I got back and was sitting on the bed and two roaches were crawling on the wall and I took pictures and video and sent them to him his reply was I thought you were leaving .I explained this was an unplanned trip money is tight without the refund money I'm stuck in your roach motel and this was unacceptable .The following day he sent more people when I returned I killed a roach in the bathroom and sent him a picture. He did not respond . The following morning I videoed three more roaches crawling behind the bed and sent them to Perry and he did not respond. I attempted to put dishes away and two roaches were in the cabinets and two more were on the countertop and I sent Pictures and videos to Perry again negative response. Maintenance came at 7:00 am and I showed him the roaches and where they were coming from and he apologized and stated he just takes care of the property. When I got home and began to-unpack I found a roach !

My girlfriend and I stayed here - had zero issues and enjoyed our stay. All of our needs were met, it was clean (a big plus) and we are very close to Soulard and Grand Ave which are cool places to hang out, get dinner and drinks etc.

Awesome stay!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here last year on a vacation in St. Louis. It had everything I needed and was in a great neighborhood that had lots to do. It had the bonus of being pretty close (in driving distance) to all the places we wanted to visit. I would definitely stay here again!
