|Minimum Stay||2 - 8 nights|
This historic home on Fleet Street is located 1/2 block from the City Dock & Market House area, two blocks to the Academy and just steps to all Annapolis has to offer. Located on a quiet side street, this home gives you both privacy and convenience.
Inside, you will find a house with a very light, airy feel, and very spacious for a one bedroom home. Enter on the main floor to find the kitchen, dining room, one full bath, living room and sunroom (with an additional built in twin bed). Each room has historic touches that remind you that you are staying on one of the oldest streets in Annapolis. For example, the floor of the living room is brick from the original street that used to run behind the house! Yet the interior is bright and beautifully decorated, giving you comfort and convenience, including new stainless appliances in the kitchen and a new heated tile floor throughout the kitchen, bath and dining areas. From the sunroom, enter to a private fenced-in patio backyard. Enjoy your morning coffee or a light dinner in your very private outdoor space.
On the second floor you will find the master bedroom and full bath. The crisp white bath has a full shower, and just outside the bath is a full size stacked washer and dryer. Bedroom has a queen bed with woven rattan headboard, dressers and closet. An open-step ladder leads to an unfurnished loft area above the bath that can be used as additional sleeping or storage, as needed.
This house is located 2 blocks to the Visitors Entrance to the US Naval Academy, so it is a perfect alternative to hotel accommodations. Ideal for 2-5 people for Academy Events, Boat Shows, Alumni Reunions or Sailing Regattas.
My husband and I spent three lovely days in this Annapolis gem. We were in for a Navy game and the location was wonderful. We didn't need a car and walked everywhere, even to the football game. Marie was wonderful to work with. Although she was away during our visit she had a friend drop by to make sure we had everything we needed. And we did! Such a quaint little house with lots of room! We'll be back. Thanks again Marie!
My husband and I were in Annapolis to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. This flat located in the historic district was perfect. The location was great - convenient to everything. The power boat show was going on the weekend we were there so downtown Annapolis was hopping, but it was nice to have this beautiful refuge to go to. Marie was very helpful with parking, etc. The flat was spotless and had all the amenitites we needed. We will be back.
We loved this house - how beautifully and thoughtfully it has been renovated by the owner. It is like a tardis - bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside! The location was so convenient, and quiet too.Parking was a bonus, as you can walk so easily everywhere. Definitely will be back.
My husband and I decided to escape for a few days in beautiful downtown Annapolis, and Marie's place was recommended by a friend. We loved it! It was clean, spacious, and inviting, and -- no kidding-- in the heart of Annapolis and two short blocks from the downtown waterfront area. Marie could not have been nicer. She made it a point to come down and greet us, and gave us some great recommendations for activities, restaurants and shopping.
My son joined us for two days at the end of the week, and we made up the sofa bed for him (shown in the photo) . The sheets, blankets and pillows were first-quality, and my son was very comfortable. The heat was perfect, the hot water in the shower was great, and the towels were better quality than a hotel's.
I especially loved the location: when I was out shopping, I could easily stop back and drop off my packages, and my husband and I walked around in the evening through the most gorgeous historic streets -- all safe and well-lit up.
What a great change from our usual "chain" hotel! It was fantastic and I can't wait to stay there again.. Pat G from New York
We had a wonderful stay at 16 fleet last month. The house is beautifully decorated and very conveniently located. Highly recommend to others!
16 Fleet Street was the perfect location for our family! The cozy-yet spacious-nature of the property lent itself to family dinners and space for us play cards and share stories inside or out. Everything was clean and well appointed & maintained, which meant that when friends wanted to stop by we were thrilled to "share" our home.
I would definitely recommend this location for a family visiting the USNA or sightseeing in Annapolis. So many wonderful things to do just out side the front door. ( State House, wonderful restaurants, quaint shops, chartered boat tours, Segway rentals, local theater & galleries)
We hope to stay here again soon!
This home is located two blocks from the entrance to the Naval Academy in one direction, and the State House in the other. Central to all downtown Annapolis attractions, shops and restaurants.
