|Minimum Stay||2 - 4 nights|
The house is very fresh, with wonderful view over Samana Bay.
Simple decorate to provide a relax. Barbecue are looking the sea and when is season the Whales jumping, just in front of you. In the middle of the uncontaminated nature and just 10 minutes driving to the center of village. It is ideal for sharing a fun and relaxing holiday, to enjoy a huge tropical garden, a barbecue looking the sea and relax with an aperitif on the terrace while watching the sunset.
The owners of the property are from Spain, work around the world.
They love to help the farmer people, the animals, they gave work to some many people in Las Galeras.
Yocasty Artiles purchased this villa in 2010
We are glad to give our home with all our love, clean, big garden with a lot of trees. Help us to take the environment, save water, electricity that is so expensive and We included for you.

This property is perfect for family, friend party. All lover of the natural landscape will fall in love to this house. Very well decorate, comfortable and show exactly what the owners want to offer to his clients.
You'll have the opportunity to enjoy a real Tropical Paradise, talking with farmer and fisherman people. Here the live is very simple and you only need to love and respect the nature.
The villa was amazing. The layout, the design, that place has great Karma !
Please let the owner know that I loved her place. I can certainly tell that she puts a lot of love into her place. Every shell, plate, flower and detail was wonderful. It was so clean and beautiful. That place is my dream home !
It motivated me to do some major renovations on my home here in NYC.
Elsa and Santiago were sweet hearts. My friends and family were so happy .
I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on picking the place and Samana in general ! My American friends truly fell in DR. It was one of those life changing vacations. That place has some sort of mystical energy.
Feel free to post this , I have no problem telling everyone how great the place is !!!
We are definitely coming back. I'm planning on a longer trip some time in March to see the whales.
Yocasty, you are a class act. It was great meeting you. You have an impeccable reputation in Las Galeras and I'm so lucky to have connected with you.
The house and view was beautiful, the area was very friendly and there was a lot to do. Will definitely go back!
The house: beautifully decorated and spacious. Looks just like the pictures. Each room was perfect. All had air-con except the master bedroom but we slept just fine without it. It was fully equipped. They even provided beach towels.
Maria was our house keeper/cook and she was great. Her and her sister cooked 3 different dinners and each one was better than the last. They were both so friendly! Don't forget to ask for gelato on the FIRST night....we didn't find out about it until our last night. If we had known we would have been getting that ALL THE TIME....it's so good. She'll get all of the stuff to make the meal so you don't have to worry about shopping for dinner. She'll even make fresh pineapple or passion fruit juice
Yocasty was great. She kept in touch, met up with us to see how the vacation was going and to make sure we had everything we needed.
I'd definitely recommend this house.
The house is a townhouse. This was fine for us; the other place was not in use for most of our stay. When it did have guests at the end of our stay, it turned out to be great because they had a daughter the same age as ours and they became fast friends.
The house sits on the water but it's not a beach. It's a rocky shore (looks like lava rocks). The view is amazing. The lawn is nicely manicured and we spent tons of time drinking coffee (or beer/wine) down by the water on the wooden benches. The stars at night are amazing as well.
La Playita beach is a short walk from the house, very easy. It took us less than 5 minutes to walk there with our 5 year old. The beach is awesome. We drove over to Playa Rincon on our first day because that's the beach everyone talks about ( roughly 40 minute drive from the house). It was beautiful. The second day we decided to check out La Playita....and we never left. That is definitely our beach of choice. The water is very shallow for quite a ways out which is great if you have kids. The views are breathtaking. The little red beach shack had the best fried fish and pina coladas....YUMMMM!!! There was plenty of shade. And it was practically empty. The only thing that was a disappointment was the snorkeling. There's only a small amount of coral and not very many fish/sea creatures, but it was still fun to look around.
It's definitely a great place to stay for any type of situation; super family friendly.
Villa Kristen is a piece of heaven in earth, beautifull house, very well take care, very modern and sooooooo clean, Yocasty and Yocasty service crew will literally do everything to make sure that your vacatiions the best.
The only missing to the house is a pool.
But after that is a peace os heaven on earth.
We had a group of 7 including two young children. Our stay was amazing. The house and property are beautiful, safe and secluded - a reflection of the sleepy town of Las Galeras. Everyone from Yocasty, the property manager, to Alejandria our wonderful cook were genuinely interested in making us feel comfortable and welcome. We had groceries, a crib and a freshly prepared meal the day we arrived. The beach was a short walk from our front door and is a perfect beach for small kids with shallow waters and waves that break far out on the reef. The water is crystal clear and the occasional tropical fish thrilled our kids. It took us a few days to become familiar with the town, but there are several small supermarkets, a bank and shops and restaurants that are easy to navigate. We took a boat to Playa Rincon which worked well.
The drive from Santo Domingo is beautiful and scenic and the road was in great shape. Driving is safe but still an adventure as there are a lot of motorists to share the road with - totally safe for the ones driving the cars, not so much for the many people on motorcycles.
This is a truly special place. The countryside and beaches are magnificent. The region and towns are alive and vibrant and have real unique character. We felt like welcome guests in someone's home country, not tourists at a resort. We will be back
Spacious, comfortable home with plenty of room for 9-10 people to feel comfortable. The grounds are lovely and the garden ends where the waves start. Sit on the lanai and listen to the ocean, or walk a few steps through the shady palms to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We were fortunate to see a pod of humpback whales in the bay.
Yocasty is a wonderful host and will arrange anything you need; she is friendly and knowledgeable. Maria was our housekeeper and cook for the week we spent at Villa Ibiscus. She put up with our lack of Spanish and taught us a few phrases, and she is an amazing cook. It's far enough from the main street in Las Galeras to be quiet and feel private, but close enough to walk into town for dinner. Don't let the casual look of Las Galeras fool you, the people are friendly, the restaurants amazing and you won't want to leave once you arrive. If Maria isn't cooking an amazing fish in coconut sauce or hebichuela with chicken, try Il Pirata (amazing Italian food), La Playita (right on the beach) or Pescador (amazing Paella). Although we felt safe in Las Galeras, it was nice to have Señor Oscar as the night watchman. We were so well taken care of and so relaxed. We missed a few of the must-see places in Samana' peninsula because we were so happy just relaxing at Villa Ibiscus. We can't wait to come back.
Our Holiday in Las Galeras was spectacular! Fantastic quiet beaches (6), great food & warm safe atmosphere. Villa Ibiscus was an amazing choice for our homebase and everything described in the listing is completely accurate...except the description doesn't go far enough; starting with GORGEOUS OCEAN VIEW (manicured yard & abundant flowers), spacious clean rooms which were fully set up for guests (linens, towels, coffee, dishes, shells & lots of extras)! We had decent wifi and international TV when we wanted them & were able to easily keep in touch with back home. The decor was tasteful and Caribbean style with artistic feel. The terrace was an oasis and we had no mosquitoes - none! The gardens surrounding the house were really special and being the very last villa (in a nice neighborhood) just before the beach ...was really only steps to La Playita (the little beach) which had FANTASTIC swimming & 2 little restaurants (fresh fish) and working fishing boats nestled under the palm trees. The path is only a few hundred yards and is well traveled with flowers and a tethered donkey (or 2). We especially enjoyed the well equipped kitchen but could easily walk the 5 mins to town where there were abundant choices to eat. The housekeeper Maria was lovely and we especially were grateful for the warm welcome (fresh pineapple juice, coconut muffins etc) & advice of the charismatic property manager; Yocasty! She really made our stay PERFECT (answered our questions, arranged transport (Thx Kelvin!) & suggested activities - all of which were spot on!)... She speaks several languages fluently and was such a helpful and vibrant personality. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful wonderful place to stay, then Villa Ibiscus is it! We were only a family of 3 but the house can easily accommodate another 3-4 people. Rooms and beds were as advertised & didn't disappoint. The ocean breezes meant we didn't even need the air conditioner (we could hear the waves) & and spent hours on the terrace. The area was really special and our 1 week was packed with memories. Some activities we enjoyed: Rented Quads and drove 1 hr to Rincon & back through little hamlets and back roads, took a boat/captain to Fronton & Madama Beaches one day and had our final dinner up on Mont Azul. - The rest was spent at the villa or at the beach just beside the house. Amazing/Unforgettable/Wonderful holiday home! I would highly recommend this property and vacation area to friends/family (and already have).
