Serious fly fishermen have not found a better place than the stretch from White Hole to Wildcat Shoals for boat and wade fishing. This well equipped, comfortable cabin has just that right out the back door! The world famous trout stream... the White River!
In addition to fishing, enjoy relaxing on the patio watching Blue Heron's catch fish, Bald Eagles soar by the beautiful bluffs on the opposite bank or share smores with family and friends around the fire pit at night. There is something for everyone.Bull Shoals Lake and marina is close by and nearby attractions include the Buffalo National River, Crooked Creek, Norfork Lake, Sylamore National Forest and Blanchard Springs Caverns.
We had a wonderful time staying at your cabin these past few days. It was quiet, relaxing, peaceful and we really felt like we were on 'vacation'... we will definitely be back!
Just a suggestion... ceiling fans on the balcony and porch for times when there is no breeze. :)
Thanks for a wonderful stay!
We stayed here during July 2016 and sampled all the area has to offer - Buffalo Point, Bull Shoals Lake, White River, Crooked Creek, Dry Run Creek and Lake Norfork. Cabin is 10-15 minute drive from fuel and shopping but the view and seclusion is well worth it. Property was extremely clean and well maintained. Comfortable beds, couch and recliner with good television for evening ball games. Excellent trout fishing opportunity with wade in access below cabin. Very nice sleeping arrangements with bunk beds and television upstairs and master bedroom downstairs. A couple small improvements in the kitchen would have benefited our family (toaster did not work and pots/pans need upgraded/replaced). We love this area and would gladly rent the cabin again for more summertime fun.
We had a great time. Perfect location and plenty of room for everyone. The fishing was great, was so great to have the river right in your backyard. The house had everything we needed and then some, we will definitely return.
We had a wonderful weekend, perfect location, perfect weather, and perfect accomadations.
Fishing (serious fishing anyway) was a little slow but that could have been due to our "live handicaps". This was more of a "end of season" family get away and that is what it was! We had several small children and while adults attempted some fishing from the banks the kids played on the bank from the time they got up in the morning until late in the afternoon. Untangled more lines than you could count. We took family group photos with the bluffs in the background. The property was clean and very well maintained, everything one would need was available. There was a huge lady bug hatch that caused quite a stir one afternoon but that just added to the weekend. Enjoyed the fire pit. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back again. May have to consider and additional trip for adults only and "serious" fishing.
My friends and I had a fantastic time at the cabin. The best fishing on the entire river was the stretch that was right in front of the cabin. When we arrived, the groundskeeper asked us if there was anything he could do for us before leaving us to enjoy the place, and offered up some fishing advice and local knowledge of the area. Very nice guy! Everything we needed was there, including the beautiful views. Will absolutely be visiting again. The only drawback was the bugs (to be expected in the summer) on the patio which could easily be solved with a fan or some sort of screen/deterrent. Thanks so much for allowing us to enjoy this place!
Great escape from the hustle and bustle, the property was as described. We stayed a week and really enjoyed the quiet solitude and the view didn't hurt. Great wading fishing right out the door. Had two teens in tow and they really enjoyed the place too. Cabin book with area details where a plus, we added a trip to Bull Shoals Dam, James A. Gaston Visitor center and Crooked creek when generation schedule made fishing a challenge. Loads of deer in yard daily. We will be back!
This cabin was the perfect choice for the last 4 days of our Arkansas vacation. Very clean and lots of room for sleeping and preparing meals for a large family. When the river is down, there is a prefect beach for little ones to run and play in the water. We really enjoyed the decks and fire pit. We would definately stay here again !
