You will love the balcony off the master bedroom and Living room with open Gulf views and direct sight of the pool to keep an eye on the teenagers. Unit #187

The family atmosphere and kindness of this community is unmatched anywhere we have spent vacation. Private and never crowded on the property put in the middle of all you would want to do and see if you want to get out.

What makes this condo unique

Tucked away with a secure private experience but right across the street from outlet malls and anything you would want to do on vacation in the area. Bass pro shop is my favorite however my kids enjoy shopping at Destin commons, outlet mall and the movie theater.

Relaxing wonderful getaway!

Have stayed at this condo several times. Mainsail is a great location overall with good restaurants nearby, outlet mall across the street, and most importantly a great beach exclusively for Mainsail guests. The condo is spacious , located on 8th floor (which we love) with great views of ocean, beach and pool. And you get 2 beach chairs & umbrella free with your stay. Owner is great to work with and responds immediately with concerns and/or requests. I'm sure we will return again.

Property is accurately described but it has a pest control problem.

We entered and found roaches in living room. We thought it was perhaps from previous occupants. Exterminator came but we continued to see bugs periodically throughout our one-month stay. I regret giving a negative review but this was unacceptable. Mainsail facility itself is older but well maintained.

Great place if you are a beach person!!!

Sandy white beach

Spectacular sunrises and sunsets

Two beach chairs and an umbrella make this property a Beach Lovers dream come true. From the minute we arrive till our departure everything was perfect. Once we went to the grocery store we hardly ever left the property. The beach service was wonderful--Robert made sure the beach chairs were set up from 8-5 every day and Treated us like we were owners. After a day at the beach we would use the pool and hot tub before going up to cook super. The property was built in the middle 80's but has been maintained very well. The staff of the Mainsail were very nice and helpful. From the 8th floor balcony we had a great view of the beach. It also faced the southwest making the view at sunset special. If your an earlier riser all you had to do is walk out the front door to watch the sunrise. Another great asset to this property is the outlet mall right across the street. Several other shopping venues are within 15 minutes. There are many things to do in Destin but we went for the beach and Mainsail gave us what we wanted. Thanks to Ted the owner of the property for making it so easy. He reponded very quickly to all our inquiries. The condo had 3TV's, books to read, a fully equipped kitchen, a bar with ice maker and many other comforts that allow you to kick back and enjoy. And don't over pack--remember it's Florida where casual is cool.

Beautiful clean place

Beautiful condo, overlooking the beach. Place was clean and we'll kept and nicely decorated. We had minor appliance issue, a few broken knows in washer and dryer which could not be fixed through holiday weekend. No detergent, soaps for dishwasher and laundry. Just need to bring your own. This is why we gave it 3 stars in stead of 4.

Owner's Response: New washer and dryer installed on Saturday July 9th following this guest stay. Because guest have so many different preferences on laundry detergent it's not provided. The site will to updated to reflect the need for your detergent of choice to bring with you on your stay. Thanks, Ted

Area attractions appeal to every member of the family, including 25 golf courses within 15 miles, chartered deep sea fishing, para sailing, art galleries, the Track Amusement Park, Gulfarium Marine Museum, Big Kahuna's water park and incredible restaurants.
