Spectacular views of the Appalachian Mountains; stepping off point for many outdoor activities suited for all ages. In 2012 we completed a total renovation; new appliances, furniture, counter tops [granite] hardwood flooring [bamboo] re-decorated and built new wrap-around decks. In 2016 added A/C and extended the kitchen to provide a separate dining room.

Summer: Hiking + Biking + Rafting + Wildlife at 'Grandfather Mountain' + 'Tweetsie Railway' [nearby Boone] + Fishing + Gold panning + Scottish Festival at Grandfather Mountain.
Fall: Leaf changing + 'Woollly Worm Festival'
My family and I loved every minute of our stay at this house which is right along the ski slopes. It was fun to watch the skiers and the views are stunning. It was very clean and nicely decorated and had plenty of space for our party of 7. We hope to make this an annual tradition!
We have always enjoyed the ski-in ski-out feature of the house and loved the new dining room extension. So much room for the family and our guests! The house is cheerful and clean and comfortably furnished. We're so glad we found this vacation getaway!
Beautiful home with bright, spacious interior and gorgeous views of the mountains and valley below. Plenty of room to have additional guests and children's playtime downstairs with a separate dining area and plenty of seating in front of the fireplace. We love the easy access to ski-in/ski-out during the winter with the ski hill becoming hiking trails just outside the back door during summer months. Convenient walking distance to everything you will need at Fred's Mercantile Store, Brick Oven Pizzeria, ski shops, sledding hill, and more. We will be back every year!
My husband and I loved our stay here. I think it was just remodeled since it has new furniture and appliances = very clean! Our most favorite part of the house was the deck since it offers amazing views of the mountains. We spent most of our time out there making use of the BBQ grill and lounging on the deck furniture. Nothing beats a glass of wine watching the sun set! We also made use of the hiking trails in the area and even hiked the ski slopes which are just alongside the house. We will definitely come back!
Beautiful home with gorgeous views of the mountain. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with ski runs just outside the door that are now turned into perfect hiking trails and gentle walks to the top of Emerald Outback. Lots of places to take pictures, bird watch, and throw a blanket for a picnic lunch. The wraparound deck at the house provided an intimate setting for lighting up the grill and enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sunset. We also enjoyed driving to nearby lookout points with additional hiking trails and spectacular views from Grandfather Mountain. Golf courses, fishing, and swimming conveniently nearby. Wonderful summer vacation!
My family loved the Beech House! The pictures don't do the property justice, as the veiws were absolutely spectacular from every window, door & all around the 2 level deck. We stayed at the home during the summer time for a wedding that was on top of Beech Mountain at the Land of Oz. The house is perfectly located, less than a minute drive from everything you will need to visit in Beech Mountain..but it's secluded enough up the mountain that it feels very private. We counted less than 3 cars passing the house for our entire stay. We didn't see or hear anyone at the neighboring houses either, only the sound of a gentle mountain breeze and nature. My wife and I have stayed in owner managed vacation homes many times over the past 8 years and I have to admit that the Beech House ranks among our top expereinces. The price is beyond reasonable for the accomodations in this home. It's clean inside & out, has a light contemporary styling that blends nicely with the mountain setting. I can't think of anything that I would have needed that this rental didn't provide. Multiple TV's, Gas Logs, Gas Grill, Great Outdoor Furniture, Comfortable Indoor Furniture, an up-to-date kitchen...it truly has it all. The kid's enjoyed the bunk bed room and having a bathroom on the lower level and we (Parents) enjoyed having a private bathroom! We were able to park 4 cars in the driveway when guest came over and the deck was perfect for entertaining in the evening and privately and peacefully sipping a morning cup of coffee and gazing over the mountains. The windows in each room open extremely wide for a nice mountain breeze all day long, as they have screens and many open in 2 parts so you can feel safe leaving them open while you are gone or at night. Kelvin & CC thank you so much for sharing your beautiful vacation home with my family. We were truly blessed to have found it and I can promise that it will be our "go-to" house when we visit Beech Mountain again! My final words to all of you that are reading this review and trying to figure out if this is the house for your Beech Mountain Vacation...hurry up and rent it, before someone else like me who already know's how great it is rents it! You will not be dissapointed, I promise. Thanks again Kelvin & CC, we can't wait till our next trip!
