My husband and I were booked in Winery Loft #3. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The quality of the snacks, linens and toiletries provided were excellent. The room overlooks the main street in Carlton, which is a quaint small town. The downside of facing the main street is that that is a major thoroughfare for tractor trailers carrying lumber, hay, etc. The noise was unbearable and disrupted our sleep. The following day, we asked the manager, Carrie, if we could switch rooms. Luckily, Loft #5 was available and it faced the back of the building. The room was smaller, but much quieter. The bed in this room was also comfortable. In both rooms, the wireless internet connection kept dropping. We mentioned this to Carrie, and she they were having trouble in the main building too. It may be fixed by now. If you rely on wireless internet, I'd inquire before booking. There is a washer/dryer guests can use during designated hours, and that was a nice benefit. All the units are on the second floor and there is no elevator in the event you have trouble with stairs.

Another note about Carlton - many of the wineries and restaurants are only open Thursday-Sunday, so plan accordingly.

Great place

  • 5 of 5

Stayed as part of a group of three couples and the Winery Lofts are wonderful. This Loft #3 is very large and roomy, with nice amenities. The bed is large and comfortable. Decor in all lofts is unique and beautiful. All are stocked with coffee and snacks and you can purchase wine. Location is ideal for touring through the Willamette Valley. A great change up from a standard hotel!
