In the trendiest, artsy section of Washington DC, Dupont Circle - example of Pierre L'Enfant's vision for the city, great avenues radiating off small parks like spokes on a wheel, we offer the best value in furnished apartments, truly a home away from home: just bring your clothes.
We offer a beautiful light and airy south facing furnished apartment, gutted last year, with availability throughout the year. There is an amazing new kitchen with Fisher&Paykel gas range and Italian cabinets. The bath has an amazing Kohler deep soaking tub and beautiful white carrara marble tiles.
This one bedroom apartment with one bathroom on the second floor of historic Art Deco building is steps from world class restaurants, avant-garde theaters, trendy cafes and the best shopping this city has to offer. The apartment is decorated with passion and attention to detail: classic modern furniture, color coordinated sheets, rugs, cotton linens, kitchen and bath ware.
The building features outdoor seating patio, washer and dryer (shared) and close proximity to Metro only block and a half away.
Garage parking is available near our unit for $20 to $30 a day.
Street parking is by permit only between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We can get visitor's parking pass for you from a local police station for $40 for the stay, and you can park, day and night, on the street. The parking pass is for zone 1, so any street marked zone 1 on the signs is fine (quite a large area). Please note that during the season the streets get cleaned -please read signs clearly and visibly posted on each street when you must move your car for street cleaning.

hi, originally from Prague, Czech Republic, Washington DC has become my second home twelve years ago when I came to study at Georgetown University. I live in this wonderful city with my two boys Alexander and Christopher, only few blocks from the rental property. We spend every weekend at a museum (Air and Space is the favorite), hiking through Rock Creek Park or on a fifty year old carousel in front of the Smithsonian Gardens and we hope that all our guests enjoy this vibrant city as much as we do. Eva
Eva purchased this condo in 2009
As a single mom I need to provide for my two boys. I love to travel and so do my kids. Most of the time I travel out of DC and the situation helped me see that just as I love to leave the city and to explore other places, there are people who come to visit DC to spend time with their families. My two boys, my family, are the best critics of any place, as no furnishings are safe from their play and no vase is sacred to them. Our places are luxurious but ready to be used. I understand what most travelers need to feel comfortable since I have traveled extensively around the world to Africa, South and Central America, Asia and Europe . Please come and share your vacation time in our home. I promise that we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. This is the reason I bought my rental property.
From our apartment in the heart of Dupont Circle the access to all the tourist attractions, world famous restaurants, great bars and the biggest selection of privately owned galleries is just steps away. The metro stop is only a block and a half away, next to Starbucks. The 14 Street buses run directly downtown from our bus station at the end of the block; every two minutes during rush hour and every six minutes other times. The White house, The Mall and The Smithsonian Museums are less than a mile away; about fifteen minute walk or few metro stops.
thank you for a wonderful experience in DC!
We liked all of the restaurants and getting a feel of what it's like to live here!
The U St metro made it easy to get to all of the monuments and museums. We would like to thank you for fixing the door as soon as we called you. We loved how clean the apartment is and how attentive you are!
The location is GREAT (but it is some distance from DuPont Circle). Shopping, pub-style restaurants only steps away. The metro stop, the U Street green line, is a few blocks away giving access to the entire metro system. Trader Joes is awesomely right around the corner. The surrounding area is very lively, filled with walkers and feels quite safe. Kitchen stove and dishwasher are superb though kitchen otherwise sparsely furnished with the most basic pots and pans from Ikea. Decor is good and as pictured though the sofa/sleeper is uncomfortable to sit on. The bathroom is very nice having been newly upgraded.
On the downside, the smell of mothballs in the building halls and our unit nearly knocked us over when first entering (Eva kindly removed them for us). The bed requires the person close to the wall to climb over their partner. We spotted a small mouse one night ....and later trapped two with no further sightings. The area is indeed very trendy and youthful such that the night of Halloween was extraordinarily loud until the wee hours ....though all other nights were peaceful and quiet.
I loved this place. Nicely furnished one bedroom in one of DC's best neighborhoods. I used to live around the corner. Almost felt like being back home. Thanks, Eva!
Convenient U St corridor with metro, restaurants, and shops close. Perfect for a couple or small family. We have 2 teenagers who used the sleeper couch and an air mattress Eva provided--just right for us, though it could be a tight fit for others. Loved the DC info and books in this clean, bright, 2nd-floor space. For a first time trip to DC and first time "by-owner" experience, this was excellent.
Safe and convenient neighborhood with nice restaurants nearby. Building interior finishes a little rough but tolerable if not hosting friends or spending a lot of time there. The apartment is as advertised - no surprises - and the owner was helpful in getting a parking permit for our use. We had a real nice time in DC and would consider going back to this unit for another visit.
Very cute apartment that is well appointed, very clean and close to both the U Metro and lots of great restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay there. It would be a little cramped for 4 adults, but was great for a couple.
We loved the convenient location of the accommodation which is just a short walk to the metro with many nice restaurants nearby plus a Trader Joes. The kitchen is well stocked and it was nice to cook our own meals after eating at restaurants for the previous week. We also used the laundry.
There are a few things that could be improved. The air conditioner in the bedroom was very noisy and so at night we ran only the one in the living room which if it were hotter might not be sufficient. It is necessary to keep windows closed because the neighbourhood can be a little noisy. The floors are thin and we were awoken several times by the people upstairs moving around. Also the black couch is not comfortable for seating. My husband who is 6'2" could not sit on it because it tilted forward and is quite low to the ground so he would just slide to the edge. After our long days of walking to take in all the sights a more comfortable couch would have been appreciated.
