Lake Leelanau... Lakefront, Four Bedroom Home. Air Conditioned with wifi and Kayaks!
Spacious, four bedroom home with a view of the lake from every room. Just ten steps to the waters edge off the deck. Multiple decks all the way around the house. Sand bottom, shallow swimming at the end of the dock. Bring your own watercraft or rent our pontoon or jet-skis or ski boat. This property is located at the southeast area of the lake in Bingham Township just 1/4 a mile from the public boat launch area which has a small sand beach area.
Dock provided, prime swimming down the ladder at the end of the dock. Beautiful sand bottom & shallow at this point. Buoy is provided for our guest that are bringing there own watersports.
The main floor has a fully-equipped kitchen and bar that seats three. Dining room and family room (sofa opens to queen size sofa sleeper, brand new 2016) both overlooking the lake have walk outs to the deck. Deck lined with BBQ grill (charcoal or gas), picnic table, lounge chairs, hammocks and sandbox. Full bath and living room with TV/VCR/cd player on this level too. One bedroom on the main floor has a trundle bed which is 2 twin size beds. Foyer has a sofa sleeper also.
Upstairs is three bedrooms and one full bath. One of these bedrooms have walk-out balconies overlooking the lake, each with a queen bed. Breathtaking views, like your right on top of the water. Third bedroom also has a queen bed with a full size futon and view of the lake.
Lake Leelanau is a sand bottom, 23 mile long lake, south end in Traverse City and the north end is Leland. Great boating and all-sports lake. Large enough that you won't ever feel crowded. Boat on up to the town of Lake Leelanau or Leland for shopping and dinner. Lots to do in Leland as far as sightseeing and shopping.
Located on the Leelanau Peninsula with 18 wineries!
Millers Landing worked well for celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with all of our children and grandchildren (13 of us). A few minor inconveniences were the sloping fire pit made it hard to sit around the campfire. The other was the abundance of stuff (albeit lovely) made for very cluttered spaces when several people bring in their own groceries, suitcases, etc. We could have used a hand mixer, crock pot and cookie sheets and larger cookware for a group of people and less cookware that didn't really seem to have a purpose. We appreciated the spices, many towels and the spacious floor plan. Needless to say the grounds were lovely as well as the decks. The provision of water shoes and lifejackets was wonderful as well as the kayaks. The trundle bed casters were on backwards (per my husband), thus was very hard to pull out and push in. The air conditioner did not work, although on arrival we were told someone was going to come out and repair it during the week, which did not happen. For the most part, we only needed it maybe 2 1/2 days or so. We were given access to a garage for an extra gas tank for the gas grill, which we did hook up and use. Would recommend this for family without small children because of the rather steep hill leading down to the lake. The July 4th fireworks all around the lake were truly enjoyed so much we sat up chairs on the dock to watch.
This home was quite spacious -- more than adequate for our two families (9 people total, 5 kids under 8.) It included a well-stocked kitchen, and access to a Blu-ray player and nice TV for the couple of rainy days that we had.
The grounds were beautiful -- lots of gorgeous flowers and decks. We enjoyed having access to the kayaks, and the lake was a good place to paddle. The lake is really quite shallow right by the shore, which is good for young children.
One bed room is a sofa sleeper only. House had issues with air conditioner(that was corrected while we were there) water issues: water backing up into sinks when washer or dishwasher was running, and there were mice in the kitchen. Unable to sit by fire pit due to it being on a bank next to the lake.(steep drop off into lake)
The place is just ok. For the cost it should be updated. The furniture in the family room was very old and showed its age. The dock was in such bad shape that it fell into the water while there was only 2 of us on it. Somebody came later and removed the sections that fell in.
We enjoyed our stay at this home. Pictures were accurate. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks; loved the location, and it slept 9 adults comfortably. Bike trails nearby and easy drive to Traverse City made it convenient for activities we had planned. Outside of home could use some tender loving care and one of the showers did not drain properly. Overall we enjoyed ourselves!
What a beautiful vacation it was!
The house is so cute and cozy, so roomy and fully equipped.
We had 3 couples staying there, and each had privacy and at the same time plenty of room to get together in the kitchen/dining room/living area.
Amazing wrap-around deck, with grill, table and chairs. Steps from the beautiful Lake Leelanau, where you can swim or rent a bout to enjoy the ride on the water. Close to the Traverse City and the Dunes.
Will definitely come back!
