The 3 bedroom apartment is located on the second floor of the classicistic Kudina manor, in the former quarters of the manor serving staff. The rooms and the decor reflect the era in which the manor was built and have an airy, romantic atmosphere.
The apartment has a private entrance and consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a dining area. The rooms and the kitchen are fully equipped.
One bedroom (The Suite) has a private bathroom.
The other two bedrooms form a coherent unit (The Family Rooms) - one is the master bedroom (with a queen sized bed) from where a door leads to the other bedroom with two single beds (plus a fold-up bed if needed). The two rooms are connected by a door but both also have separate entrances.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has all necessary home appliances (fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave oven) and dishes.
All rooms have heating (both wood and electronic) and air-conditioning.
It`s possible to book the whole apartment (3 bedrooms, sleeps 6) or only The Suite (double bed, sleeps 2) or the Family Rooms (sleeps 4).
The manor has a large, scenic park where guests are invited to spend quality leisure time grilling, having picnics and relaxing. There is a hammock and several outdoor tables and benches in the park.
There are also 2 bicycles that guests are free to use.
Well-behaving furry four-legged friends are also welcome.
We spent a wonderful week in the friendly and quiet Kudina manor. The building was very nicely renovated but still had a feeling of an old Estonian country manor. We felt almost as members of the family, but partly also as owners of the manor and definitely not as customers of a tourist attraction. We recommend this place warmly for anyone who'd like to go back 100 years into the past but still have access to all modern amenties.
Kudina hunting manor, built in 1895, is located in the small and historic Kudina village that was settled nearly 4000 years ago.
The area has rich, untouched nature with many rivers, lakes, bogs and wild forests.
3 km from the village is Saare lake`s Nature Preserve that has excellent hiking trails and wild, serene swimming spots. Across the road from the Nature Preserve are the ruins of Saare manor, the former residence of the Manteuffel family that Catherine the Great visited.
A 10 minute car ride away is the historic church of Maarja-Magdaleena and Palamuse village, one of the most important places in terms of Estonian literary culture.
A short car ride away are also Elistvere Wildlife Park, Vudila - Estonia`s largest playland/themepark , Äksi Ice Age Museum, Kuremaa lake with its white sand beaches and Estonia`s largest lake Peipsi with its ancient fishermen`s villages and the majestetic Alatskivi castle.
