Wonderful time

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was everything we expected and had the perfect rustic cabin feel. It was perfect for our family of four. We loved that we could walk to the lake and go for a swim. The cabin is close to all of the attractions in the Lake George area.

OK, but there are better options.

  • 2 of 5

I guess this was OK, but you don't get what you pay for. You do get lakeside access and the town is nice. But the cabin was pretty dirty when we checked in and the grill was broken, which the property manager never got back to us on. Seemed pretty cheap overall. You can get better for the same or less in the area.

Not worth the money

  • 1 of 5

I was very disappointed in my stay here. Every year I spend a lot of time searching for places that have a full kitchen and allow pets. My husband and I do not go out for dinner while on vacation as we enjoy cooking at home. The kitchen's cookware is totally out of date with not even a nonstick frying pan to cook eggs for breakfast. There wasn't even a large mixing bowl. The cabin is beyond small, and the pictures do not show just how small the cabin actually is. The bedroom that my husband and I were in had a very small bed and the second bedroom was jam packed with the bunk bed and twin bed (I would be afraid to squeeze in that bottom bunk, the top bunk was so low). And to be honest, I am not sure how well the cabin was cleaned prior to our stay. My husband walked in a white sock and the bottom was caked up in brown dirt within seconds. My husband and I also had to spend our first hour of getting there whipping down the chairs that were on the deck and scrubbing the grill clean so that we could cook on it as it was absolutely disgusting and unclean. The lake overall was beautiful and I loved being able to take our dog, but I wouldn't go back there. Totally overpriced for what you get.

Incredible Location

  • 5 of 5

Definitely a cabin in the woods feel to this little house. It felt a bit like family Summer camp! We absolutely loved our stay! Quiet neighborhood with nice neighbors & a safe stroll across the street to the most beautiful lake that you can see a bit through the trees from the front deck. We had such a relaxing week of kayaking (nice shelves by the lake to store the 3 we brought), using the rowboat & the dock, sitting around the fire pit, walking around Lake George & enjoyed some ice-cream at an adorable, old fashioned shop on Main St in Chestertown. It is close quarters, so our laughing, chatty teens had to settle down at night so everyone could sleep, but it was cozy & we enjoyed playing games & hanging out together. It was nice to have a tv with Netflix & Wi Fi. We definitely made a lot of memories during our week stay.
