The property is absolutely spectacular. The amenities provided were excellent and the house was beautifully secluded, but close enough to the downtown area. Wonderfully clean and well stocked, the property truly excelled in every way. Would highly recommend and plan on going again soon!
Our family of 7 (including two children) spent a week in this well kept and well appointed five bedroom/five bath home. Located on a hill overlooking Lake Champlain, the views throughout the day were beautiful. The sunsets were especially nice. The house is very private and quiet with no others in sight, just farm fields.
The Inside is clean, comfortable and well stocked. In fact the owner provided some wonderful extras, most of which carried a nautical theme. The house is close to several beaches, golf courses, and restaurants, and a trip to Burlington took half-an-hour. Over the past five years we have rented two other homes in the St Albans area and each required a shlep just to get a carton of milk; not so here. Among the three homes we've rented, this is our favorite.
There are negatives like the size of two of the bedrooms but overall our experience was perfect and we would recommend this home to anyone looking for a private well-kept rental.
The house is very charming. It's located on the quite road overlooking the Lake. Nice deck, plenty of space. Kitchen has all new appliances, plenty of dishes, pots and pans. The owner kindly provided bottled water, variety of snacks, gourmet instant coffee, tea, complimentary VT vine and chocolates. Little things that make your stay even more pleasant. Nice variety of DVDs and books. All and all we had a great time – no complains!
Our family stayed at this beautiful property for a wedding in South Hero recently. The setting overlooked lake Champlain which was wonderfully scenic and the porch allowed everyone to relax in between events. The accommodations were perfect, the attention to detail was excellent, and the house was laid out in a way that gave everyone their own privacy when they wanted it. We mostly socialized. We recommend this place for a great stay in South Hero wholeheartedly.

We recently stayed at Lighthouse Estates on South Hero Island, Lake Champlain, Vt. I found the accommodations to be far superior to any I have experienced. The interior was nicely furnished, provided lots of amenities and was convenient for the entire family as well as private space when desired. The view was spectacular and the grounds were nicely landscaped and comfortably private. The home was also well stocked with complementary coffee, snacks and toiletries. Furthermore, the owner was extremely courteous and very considerate. In short, our stay at Lighthouse Estates was thoroughly enjoyable and I highly recommend it.
We rented this property to attend our son's College graduation in Colchester. It was an easy commute. The accommodations were all on one level, and was perfect for our group which included elderly parents. There were separate bedrooms for all in our party and plenty of bathrooms for the group to get ready at the same time. We had the perfect setting to hold a small gathering after the ceremony. The view was fabulous and we made good use of the deck and yard. The house was very clean, and had a lot of extras like Fiji bottled water, snacks and hot beverages. The Wi-Fi was very easy to connect to and we did not have any issues with internet speed. Overall this was a fantastic place to stay and will not hesitate to check availability when we are in the area again.

Non-refundable 50% rental deposit, refundable $500 security deposit, and signed rental agreement are required to confirm reservation, with balance due 30 days before arrival. Reservations made less than 30 days before arrival require full payment at time of booking.
