Your owners are Jim, Tanya and our 2 sons, 11 and 6. We've lived abroad in both New Zealand and Latvia and love to travel. Some of the best memories we've had are through these experiences which is why we love to come to Breckenridge. We love the outdoors as does our 11 year old who is probably the only one in his class that knows that the best gondolas and chairlifts are made in Switzerland! We have owned rental property in Breckenridge for the last 12 years and rent out our 2 bedroom condo at the Village at Breckenridge (VRBO# 221194). It's a good choice if you have a larger party and would like to be close to one another. We are happy to share our knowledge of the town and answer any questions you may have to make your stay with us the best it can be.
There's a saying in Texas, 'I wasn't born here but I got here as fast as I could.' Well, we feel the same way about Colorado. We would find ourselves coming back to Colorado year after year and Breckenridge always seemed to top our list. We purchased a 2 bedroom penthouse condo next door at the Village at Breckenridge (you can even see it from our Trails End balcony- it is the top floor just to the right of the Clock Tower).
The town has a little bit of everything one looks for in a mountain destination. Historical charm, great mountains and views, amazing restaurants and shopping, tons of activities for not only adults but kids too. Not to mention easier accessibility from both Denver and Colorado Springs, with less major passes to overcome than with Vail. It was the logical choice for us to choose a place where we could create family memories during the four beautiful seasons Breckenridge has to offer and we are delighted to be able to share our mountain hideaway with you too.
Ski In/Ski Out and recently renovated 1 Bedroom/1 Bath Condo! Beautiful views of the mountains and the town of Breckenridge!
Great condo very clean had everything we needed. Especially loved the deck!!Owners were great to work with highly recommend this property.
Great location and a great place! Breckenridge is a very expensive place, but I felt that this rental was a great value for the location and amenities. It had everything we needed. We have two children, 2nd and 7th grade. They slept on the pull-out sofa and my wife and I stayed in the very nice bedroom. We loved the hot tub on-site as well. And, it was very nice to be able to walk a hundred yards or so behind the unit to get to the Peak 9 ski lift. Highly recommend this unit.
Our family of 4 really enjoyed this condo on our recent visit. The bed was fantastic and the sleeper sofa was good as far as pull out sofa beds go. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals. Coffee was provided. We stopped at the City Market on our way in to town to stock up on food for the week.
The access to Peak 9 is so easy! Ski storage is on the first floor near the door and you just walk about maybe 100 yards and ski down to the Quicksilver lift, which accesses the green hills. From there you can get over to Peak 8 easily as well. Then at the end of the day you just ski right back to the building. It's even convenient enough to ski back for lunch if you want to save money over the costly restaurants on the mountain. Ski racks are provided outside if you want to do this.
This location is also a very quick walk to Main St where there are a ton of restaurants and shops. It is about 6-8 blocks to the grocery store if you are walking. We kept our car parked in the underground heated garage for the entire visit since we really did not need to drive anywhere. Note that when you arrive/depart it's easiest to get all of your belongings onto one of the luggage carts in the lobby but will still need to go up or down a flight of stairs with your items. The cart cannot be rolled to the same level as your vehicle.
We made good use of the 2 hot tubs at the building (one indoor/one outdoor) and the sauna. The outdoor pool is a very short walk across the street and despite the cold temps and snow, the kids swam there every day for over an hour! There are 3 hot tubs adjacent to the pool for parents to hang out at while the kids are swimming. Because of so much swimming/hot-tubbing, we did go through quite a few towels so each morning we placed a call to the management company to ask for fresh ones and they were always waiting in the room for us when we got back from skiing.
I would definitely recommend this condo to other families for their ski vacations
Thanks again for accommodating us with a late check out. Your condo was perfect in every aspect. (The humidifier was a BIG help for us not use to the dry air) We hope to be back next year.
Clean and well equipped. The views from the balcony were excellent. Great location in proximity to the lifts and Main St. The hot tubs in the building were nice, however we also enjoyed the community area as it has outdoor hot tubs and an outdoor heated pool. Also, Tanya was excellent to work with. The only negative feedback we had was due to personal preference. There is no elevator in the garage, so if you want to load/unload there you have to carry everything up a flight of stairs to the lobby of the building first to access the elevator. Additionally, as snowboarders not entirely familiar with the mountain, we had a hard time hitting the right trails to actually be able to "ski in."
Condo is clean and well-equipped. Sheets, blankets, and towels are provided. Shampoo, soap, and lotion provided just like in a nice hotel. Location is excellent to ski resort and downtown Breckenridge is walking distance. The only aspect I could knock on is that the pull-out bed in the couch was not too comfy.
