We look forward to having you at our 'Lagniappe' ... y'all come back now, hear?
This was a well kept property that worked well for our 2 night get away for 6 women.
We had a group of us (5 adults and 2 kids) visiting BR for two nights. Rather than staying in a hotel in different rooms, we opted for this approach. Needless to say - it was perfect!
The views are great. Sitting on the balcony and watching the boats / jet skis drift by (this house is located in a slow zone so there isn't a lot of boat noise), enjoying the sunrise every morning, even the hour of rain was peaceful!
The grassy area for the kids to play is perfect. There is an open area between the house and the deck - perfect size for the kids to play catch or soccer or anything.
The wildlife is abundant. We saw two gators, lots of birds and turtles, and even a crawfish. We saw some of these critters as we walked over to the golf cart only island (no vehicles). It was a nice, shaded walk with lots to look at.
The nearby store and restaurant (both are walking distance) were great. The people working in the store were very friendly and helpful. I had fried crawfish, which was excellent. The prices at the restaurant were reasonable (~$15 for a seafood plate), plus they had a variety of options (Mexican, kids meals, steaks, seafood, pastas, etc).
The house was in excellent condition. All of the furniture was in great condition. The kitchen was fully loaded and had everything you could possibly need. Overall, very clean.
The owner was excellent and very responsive.
All in all - highly recommend.
Property easily accommodates 6-8 adults. The Lagniappe condo feels exactly like a home away from home. The owners are very professional and organized. Loved the decor and the the balcony. I will definitely book again if I'm in the area.
Great getaway! Booked the condo for Mardi Gras and my family truly enjoyed the stay. Easily accommodates 6 plus adults and has all the amenities of a home away from home. The owners are always available if you have questions and are very professional and organized. I admit I never used any type of HomeAway or VacationRentals.com services before so I was a bit skeptical of how it all worked. Based on my experience at the Lagniappe Condo, I give it a thumbs up and will visit this property again in the future.
Lovely, quiet, very clean, all the comforts of home. A great location for us. We wanted to tour the Mississippi plantations and spend a day in New Orleans. Nancy was very helpful and responsive. We got an unexpected treat driving Louisiana back-country hwy 22 up and over to I-55 at Manchac where we ate at Middendorf's Seafood Restaurant. The hour and 20 minute drive was simply beautiful and the shaved catfish platter made my "best of" bucket list!
My family of 8 arrived at this place on Saturday and left the following Friday. During our stay, we had an EXCELLENT VIEW of the Canal, plenty of space for all of us, and we were able to relax without interstate/highway noise to interfere with our conversations on the balcony. The Owner was great to work with and answered my questions in a timely manner. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.
