Arizona Getaway #A is an urban retreat located in a Historic Tempe neighborhood in the heart of the Valley of the Sun. This apartment is one half of a single level Duplex. Both two-bedroom apartments are vacation rentals.

Centrally located and close to Mass Transit and major freeways makes it easily accessible to everything in the Greater Phoenix area. A short one block walk to Metro Light Rail, public bus or Free Tempe Shuttles makes for a hassle-free ride to shopping, sports, or arts events. MY PRICES INCLUDE ALL TAXES & CLEANING WITH NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES.

Four Peaks Brew Pub is in a historic building two blocks away. A supermarket is one block away and Tempe’s newest mall, Tempe Marketplace is a 20 minute walk. About Gail or Gary

We moved to Tempe when Gary was attending Arizona State University in the 1980s and have and stayed here because we enjoy the culture and energy of living in a college town. We raised our family in this neighborhood and are now empty nest. We enjoy traveling and had a positive experience with staying in a vacation rental apartment that we booked through VRBO and decided to try it ourselves when one of our rental units became vacant.

We bought this apartment in Tempe because it is in our neighborhood, making it convenient to manage. Being near by and having lived in Tempe for more than 20 years we are a phone call away to help guests with anything they may need. We can offer restaurant suggestions, route information or an arranged trip to the airport.

What makes this apartment unique

The location is the best! There is always something to do and easy to get there. Whether it’s the Fiesta Bowl Block Party, ASU graduation, a festival, hiking, sport events or shopping and dining, it’s all close by. Being so close Mass Transit there is no need to battle the Phoenix traffic. Close to many attractions like the Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Garden, ASU Art Museum and Tempe Town Lake.

Great Location for Spring Training and getting around the Valley

My daughter and I stayed 4 nights as we attended spring training games throughout the metro area. This location was perfect as we never had to travel very far or deal with traffic to get to and from the ballparks. The duplex was clean, close to restauarants and bars, quiet and comfortable. The owners have everything organized and easy to use. As a condo owner myself, I am taking many of their ideas and doing that in our condo in Breckenridge. I will definantly book this place again when I return to Phoenix.

Cute condo with character in great location

This place was exactly what me and my three girlfriends were looking for. It was very affordable and convenient to what we had planned. Gail was a phenomenal host and made sure we were taken care of during our stay with the perfect amount of communication. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd look to stay at the same place!

Well appointed rental in a great Tempe location!

Myself and 2 girlfriends stayed at Gary and Gail's rental for a girls weekend in Tempe/Phoenix. The unit was very clean and well appointed. We appreciated the cable tv, DVDs, and collection of games for our down times at the apartment. We didn't personally do any cooking, but the kitchen was stocked with cookware, appliances, and condiments, coffee, creamer, oatmeal etc. The beds were comfy and we greatly appreciated the black out curtains! We woke up every day well rested and ready for our tourist activities. The shower was great and we loved the big fluffy towels! We had a car but also used the light rail, which was a very short walk from the apartment and very inexpensive and easy to use. All around wonderful value for the money, so much better priced than a hotel and has so much more to offer!

First visit to the Phoenix area

I think this apartment would be great for either a couple or a couple with a child. Great location for a quick visit to the Phoenix area. The apartment had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Gail was super responsive to our questions. Super affordable. The only downfall to this apartment was a small and minimal storage in the bathroom.

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient!

Roomy, CLEAN! ground floor, duplex near ASU. Perfect for a visit to campus. We rented a car this trip. Next time we will take advantage of the light-rail nearby and save the expense of a car and the challenge of parking on campus. Gail was a delightful host. She met us when we arrived and offered to loan us a huge sun umbrella when she learned we were taking a walking tour of ASU. Thanks Gail!

ASU Parents, This is a Great Apartment!

We stayed in the front unit of this cute duplex for 4 nights while we helped our ASU student move into a new place. The location is perfect; close to ASU, Mill Street, and the all important Market Place Shopping Center (Target, World Market, Best Buy, etc.) The unit is clean and welcoming, and stocked with everything a little home-away-from-home needs.
