Spend your vacation in this lovingly restored Victorian beach cottage in the quaint town of Cape Charles. Sit on the sun dappled porch to sip coffee and meet the neighbors. Walk a short distance to enjoy the serene Chesapeake Bay beach - read a book, hunt for sea glass or enjoy paddle boarding or kayaking. Spend evenings in the beautifully landscaped, private backyard enjoying cookouts or just listening to the birds. Life should always be lived this way!
Just a block from Central Park and its children's play area and tennis courts, three blocks from the library, two blocks from Breezes Salon and Day Spa, three blocks to the Cape Charles Coffee House, Brown Dog Ice Cream, Kelly's Gingernut Pub and only four blocks to the beach. The whole town is an easy stroll from this delightful home.
1st time in Cape Charles and fell in love with it. House was very comfortable and located within walking distance of town and beach. House had everything we needed and was pet friendly which was added bonus. Our dog loved Cape Charles as much as we did. Appreciated owner providing all towels and linens and we didn't have to wash them before leaving. Would definitely come back!!
The house is very charming and comfortable. Beautifully decorated, a wonderful well stocked kitchen, and all the comforts of home. Loved the porch for daily morning coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Cape Charles and would definitely stay again. Thanks, Beth!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. It was extremely hot so we probably stayed in more than we would normally, but this was not a problem as the house is so comfortable. The crepe myrtle trees were in full bloom making for a gorgeous view from front porch and front bedroom - great for doing morning exercise.
We chose the back bedroom with the queen bed and I see mention in previous comments of a new mattress. I can confirm it was the most comfortable mattress ever!! We am trying to buy one for ourselves. Took a bath or two in the claw foot tub -- luxurious. AND. last but not least, we loved the Bunny wallpaper in the bathroom. :)
thank you, Beth.
We loved staying in this house! Comfortable furnishings. Fully stocked kitchen. Delightful back patio for morning coffee. Beautiful street. The kids had a ball running back and forth to the nearby park.
The house was delightful. Itis a nice old Victorian with wonderful modern touches. The kitchen was open, light and fully equip. The shower in the master bedroom is contemporary, the water was hot and the water pressure good. (always something we appreciate. ). All the little decorative touches are charming. We also like that the homeowners are local to the town, very nice and close by if anything was needed. The only thing that we didn't like are the size of the beds. Both are full size. A queen would have been preferred. We would love to rent this house again as we always enjoy visiting Cape Charles.
What a delightful home! Every inch of this home is exceedingly comfortable and welcoming. The stress and anxiety of our go-go lives simply melted away during our stay here. I do not recall seeing my husband smile so much. We have memories of great fits of laughter and waves of peace from our stay here - thank you Beth!
Visiting Cape Charles is like stepping back in time - neighbors say hello, kids ride their bikes and a visit to the ice cream shop is a family outing! From our family friendly bay beach (think no rip currents!!), to kayaking and stand up paddling boarding or maybe a little boat trip to the seaside barrier islands, there is always something to do - just not the ordinary hustle of bustle of fighting traffic to get to the local Wal-Mart!
