Book your relaxing, affordable summer vacation now, on one of the Adirondack's finest lakes! Friends lake has no public access, so peace and quiet is what you'll find here. Our cabin is nestled among the pine trees, just across the street from the association beach. Sit on the deck and enjoy the sounds of summer in the mountains, or sit on the beach as you watch the kids swimming in the lake. Centrally located in the Adirondacks, the cottage is only about a 20 minute drive to either the Historic Village of North Creek or Warrensburg or about 30 minutes to Lake George Village, the Painted Pony Rodeo, Six Flags Amusement Park and many other Adirondack adventures.
The cottage is roomy, comfortable and outfitted with all the basics. Recently added a new smart tv with netflix, wifi and cable service! We look forward to being your Adirondack escape for years to come!
Wasn't very impressed with the cabin we had when we arrived didnt seem like the cabin had been open for awhile very musty smelling, shower curtain was moldy we had to put up a new one,Tv wasn't working properly the speakers must be blown got loud and the soft!!The beds were horrible very uncomfortable, same with the sofa it smelt like animal. We found water bottles under the bed!! But Friends lake is Great would definitely use that campground again just not that cabin!!
The cottage was quite comfortable. It would have been nice if it was a bit closer to the lake but the lake and rowboat were great. We appreciated how quiet the road was especially at night.
This 800s.f. cabin was our home for the week, and combines classic Adirondack log cabin style with enough comforts of home (microwave, modern fridge, comfy couch). The nearby lake is pristine, and we enjoyed star gazing at night.
My family and I recently stayed at this little cabin for a week-long vacation. We brought with us our 1 year old, 3 year old, and cocker spaniel...and EVERYONE had a terrific time. The lake, although not really visible from the cabin, is only steps away. The kids loved the little beach area and it was shallow enough for them to splash around in. Water was clear and warm...perfect! We took advantage of the row boat and fishing poles almost every day and our 3 year old got to help Daddy catch some small fish (we released them, as they were quite small ). There is a firepit in the front of the cabin and we made a fire each night of our stay. The only drawbacks for us were the lack of a bathtub ( there is a shower)...we rinsed the kids quickly, but it was a tight squeeze...also no laundry on site. We hung all our wet belongings outside, so it wasn't a big deal. The property manager was very hospitable and even dropped off several new items for the kitchen that we definitely found useful. He was great to work with and our transaction with him was easy peasy. The people in the area are super friendly. One cabin owner brought us firewood, another couple allowed us to use their kayak one night=super friendly crowd! The cabin is definitely rustic, but we were there to enjoy the outdoors and didn't really spend much time indoors...it was clean and we had everything we needed. If we could recommend something to the owner, it would be to perhaps have a hose near the back bathroom entrance to hose off feet or sandy children. Thanks for a great vacation!! We'd love to come back!
We stayed at the cabin for the Memorial Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We decide a cabin near a lake would be an ideal location and we were not disappointed. The cabin was in a quiet location, private and easy access to local amenities if needed. The short walk to the lake and row boat to enjoy fishing on the lake. We would recommend this cabin and thanks to Rich for his hospitality.
Had a great time, the cabin had everything we needed. The lake is less than a minutes walk away with a fantastic view. It gets freezing cold inside so make sure you come with wood or a time to get some. There's a friendly couple a short drive away that sells wood for dirt cheap, guys name is Jason. There's also a small town with a Tops close by so it was very convenient.
Great river rafting nearby on the upper Hudson River. There is a new tourist train that runs from North Creek down to Saratoga. The Friends Lake Inn has esquisit dinning and a world class wine list.
