Hi, I'm a young professional working in Boston. I am usually traveling so my living area largely goes unused. I love food, fitness, and staying healthy. I frequently take runs along the Charles, which is just a 5 minute walk from my doorstep. Regardless, I welcome you to experience this wonderful city, Cambridge is an incredible neighborhood, a perfect blend of historic and modern ambiance.
Stanley / Sue purchased this townhome in 2012
I stayed here for 12 days with my husband and two small children, other family members stayed in the next unit. The location was terrific. Very convenient to Harvard Square, restaurants, Whole Foods and parks. However, the carpets were filthy and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The floor of the downstairs bedroom was so slanted that my husband had trouble sleeping as I rolled to the center of the bed and he nearly rolled out of it. The washer and dryer were located in the basement and getting down there was treacherous which meant my older relatives (staying in the next unit) were not able to access the laundry. The basement steps were sloped and there was no handrail. The ceiling was maybe 5 feet high and the floor was earthen and uneven. I think this property is typical of college housing but I had higher expectations.
We had a group of eight including 2 toddlers and used both units. We found the units clean and well stocked with the necessary supplies. We stated for 10 days and had no problems with the units. The neighborhood was good and close to stores and sights. The off street parking was well appreciated. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.
This was an acceptable property, but was overpriced and features were oversold. Several issues - the most important is that the floor is sagging/slanted significantly in the first floor bedroom. Enough that while sleeping I rolled consistently to the center of the bed and my husband kept thinking he was rolling off! So much of a slant that a cabinet door/refrigerator door wouldn't stay closed. Carpet on the stairs filthy. The house has serious foundation and deferred maintenance issues. The "living room" was tiny - with a futon sofa and TV, in an open area just off of the single, small bathroom. Tub drain was clogged and slow draining - better after we used a plunger on it. Only room for 2 to sit on the sofa and the floor was too grungy to sit there, though we did. Kitchen table was not the one in the photo, but a very small 2-top with drop leaves to make a round 4-top. No real dining room space. Do-able for our week of tourism and getting our son settled in college, but not a comfortable place for our family of 4 adults, who had been apart all summer, to eat, relax and hangout together. It was very convenient to Harvard, and had parking - a critical factor. Should be arranged with the LR on the first floor, and sold as a 3 person - 2 in the upstairs bedroom, and a young child on the futon. Will be back at least twice a year for the next 4 years - will rent earlier, and won't rent this property again.
This is a nice cozy townhouse, located midway between Harvard Square and Central in a nice part of Cambridge. We had a lovely stay, where everything went just as we expected.
Perfect. Nicely decorated. Comfortable. Accessible. Great location. We spent 9 days and we had a great time, we felt like at home. Listing is very accurate and pictures reflect the condo exactly. Property was clean and there were no issues. The owner clearly and quickly answered all of my questions.Highly recommend.
We attended kids graduation in Cambridge in June. We loved the location of the condo. convenient to school and everywhere else. Make it easy for us to help kids move out of school dorm. We have 5 people (3 generations), The layout is just right for us. Sue s very helpful. She provided all the instruction through emails. She also accommodated our need for late check out.
We have 2 identical units side by side and each unit fit 5 people max. Please let us know if book for both units. Please inform us if require for parking spot.
