A Hidden Gem with Natural Beauty

  • 4 of 5

We had a very relaxing stay, enjoying both the fire pit along the river and the beautiful indoor fireplace. The rustic, but homey cabin, is perfect for a quiet getaway where you can enjoy the serene beauty of nature. The waters of the Delaware provide a calming background while sitting on the swing on the deck watching bald eagles soar in the sky. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Shaun provides great directions and info on the surrounding area.

Peaceful cabin on the Delaware

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was everything I hoped it would be. It's right on the river with just enough current to hear the water flowing at night as you sit on the porch swing. It was rustic but has everything we needed. I found the bed comfortable and was worried after reading some reviews but slept like a rock every night. There really is no internet so we drove straight up the hill from the bridge (a five min drive) to google things to do etc. I would drive 5 hours just to stay there again it was that wonderful. Romantic too!

Quiet, warm and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The little cabin was perfect for our needs. Lots of room to spread out. Weather was damp but the cabin was warm. Did not get to test the fireman's pole though. The outside had been freshened up with flowers in the window sills and new landscaping around the front. A real warm home-like feel. Will keep in mind for this time next year.

A perfect quick getaway!

  • 3 of 5

Shaun was very helpful and quick to respond in the booking process. Loved how Shaun provided firewood for our campfires. The fire pole was my husbands favorite thing about the cabin. The cabin was clean for a rustic little cabin. A few cobwebs here and there but nothing major. The private road is RIGHT next to the house so you have a few locals driving by every now. One of the biggest disappointments was I was looking forward to sitting by the water relaxing in the hammocks pictured, but when we got there, their were none to be found. And it was a little challenging getting down to the river. The second biggest complaint and unfortunately will be a reason for use not to return was, the bed. The main bed is a full which made sleeping a little cramped (but manageable) however it was EXTREMELY worn out and uncomfortable. But other then that the cabin is very charming and surrounding scenery was breathtaking!
