Nestled among 50 palm trees, this charming home has everything you would want to share a fun filled getaway with friends and family. Walk across the street to a fresh seafood dinner and drinks at The Boathouse Restaurant and watch the dolphins play in Breach Inlet. Lots to do for the family. Cruise around the island on rented bikes or a golf cart, go paddle boarding, surfing ... or take the boat out. Visit historic downtown Charleston with its fabulous restaurants, carriage rides, the famous market, aquarium and fun antique shopping.

Perfect place for a girls weekend getaway!

We had a blast at this house over the weekend! The property was well equipped, clean, and plenty spacious for the 11 of us. Loved all of the outdoor spaces, and the weather was perfect for us to spend time on the multiple balconies, as well as the beautiful dock (the sunset views from there are absolutely gorgeous). Short drive to Sullivan's Island bars and restaurants, and a 15-20min drive/uber to downtown. So much fun!

Tired rental, needs updates and a good clean

Overall, our two families of 12 people (4 adults, 8 kids) had a nice stay in Isle of Palms. The home was spacious and accommodated all of us well. The location is good. Charleston was a short 20 minute drive away and the beach, a short walk. It would have been a plus to have a few beach chairs to use while we were there, but we rented chairs and an umbrella from a local rental company. That worked out well, was just another $120 expense we weren't counting on. The small, plastic little tykes wagon did not serve our large group and belongings well for the days we spent at the beach. Unfortunately, I would say the property was not accurately advertised or well maintained. While the home is older and has lots of character, it could use a good, thorough clean and a number of updates. The outdoor grill was riddled with mouse droppings, the dock on the intracoastal waterway unusable due to it being covered in bird poop, the hammock and chairs in the front yard were also covered in bird poop and the tv went out while we were there. We contacted Joanne, the property manager about all of this and she was very pleasant and quick to respond to the tv and grill issue. Inside the home, we came across a couple of cockroaches (gross) and dirty appliances that needed a clean before we could use them. There is plenty of potential in this older, charming home, but someone needs to attend to it and take better care. I would not recommend this property to a friend or relative or anyone else.

Great Spot & Very Well Managed

We had a great time here! Easy golf cart ride/walk to beach access and just a stones throw from the dock (just across the street). Being walking distance from The Boathouse for a nice dinner out didn't hurt either. Check in and out was the easiest any of us have ever experienced. If you're looking for a turn-key spot without a ton of foot traffic (we were there over Labor Day Weekend) then look no further.

Great house but lots of cockroaches

Don't get me wrong by the title, we had an AMAZING time. The house was perfectly located and the size was perfect for a lot of people. I was with my parents and having a separate house for them was amazing. It was walking distance to the beach, close to great restaurants and Charleston.

There were however to downsides: 1. There were a LOT of cockroaches! My sisters aren't very fond of these bugs so it was an issue. And 2. The dishwasher wasn't working very well so we had to clean some stuff more than once.

Owner's Response: Hi Juan, Previous to your stay we had a several inches of rain on Isle of Palms which is not normal for this time of year and the palmetto bugs were bad all over the island. Our house is sprayed once a month for all bugs and we have not had an issue since then. Also we replaced the dishwasher!
