We decided to have our mini family reunion at Crystal, and we loved it. So much to do! Our group of 10 had a wonderful time at McKenzies Lodge. The property was as advertised - very comfortable, well stocked, and very clean. Absolutely perfect location within the resort - a very easy 5 minute walk to the village, and far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the outside decks and many pine trees. We would definitely come back and stay again at this home.
McKenzie's Lodge was great! Great location - very short walk to the Village, pool, and restaurants. We loved the outdoor fire pit. There were plenty of seats for our group of 10, and it came with lots of firewood. We grilled a lot, and appreciated having both a gas and charcoal grille. Our young kids had so much to do at Crystal - rode bikes, went to the pool, did the Alpine slide, paintball course. Overall a great home at a great resort for a relaxing vacation!
Took our annual ski trip to Crystal Mountain, and we loved it! Our extended family (grandparents down to younds kids) had a GREAT time staying here. We enjoy cooking large family meals, so it was really important to have a fully stocked kitchen, and McKenzie's Lodge had absolutely everything we needed. It even had a high chair for our young son! The laundry room and wash tub came in very handy, since we had a lot of wet, snowy ski gear that needed to be dried often. This home is very family and kid friendly, with a ton of video games, board games, and a nice DVD library. We even downloaded movies from Netflix on the internet TV. Highly recommend this home!
We had a blast at this home! There was plenty of space for our group (two families of 4), it had all the amenities we needed, and we LOVED the big deck! The kids enjoyed the lower game room, and we were able to keep all our stuff (bikes, toys, coolers) in the garage. We walked to the resort and village area every day - don't think we drove at all during our stay. We've stayed at other private homes on vacations, and this one was one of the cleanest, well kept by far!
We stayed at Mckenzie's lodge for a relaxing ski weekend and we had a blast! The description was spot on - super clean, comfortable and enough room for our group of 8 to spread out. The kids enjoyed watching movies and playing video games in the basement, and loved the foosball table. It was so relaxing to come home from skiing and make a fire in the wood stove. We were able to leave our equipment in the garage, and grab it the next morning on our way out, which was very convenient. Having shuttle passes was great. We called the front desk and the bus was at the driveway in front of the house in 5 minutes. It was SO much easier than driving, parking, and dragging our gear to the slopes. The best part was that we saved a ton of $$$ compared to renting a similar size property through the resort, and the location was even better than some of the resort's properties. No doubt we will be back at mckenzies lodge!
This was our 3rd trip to Crystal for a Fall weekend, and 1st time staying at a private home on the resort. We normally stay at one of the resort properties, but found homes to be much more reasonably priced. McKenzie's Lodge was outstanding - very clean, comfortable, and plenty of room for 8 of us. The home met all our expectations. Loved the location. We walked to the Wild Tomato restaurant for coffee each morning. Had great weather, so we really enjoyed the chairlift ride up to the top of the mountain for a drink and to watch the sun set. Great bonfire pit, and plenty of wood! The guys loved the two golf courses, and the kids really enjoyed the alpine slide and the ice cream hut in the center of the resort. All in all, a wonderful vacation home!
