This beautiful approximately 6000 square foot estate home sits on approximately 80 private wooded acres. It sits on a hilltop over looking Beaver Lake in the heart of the Ozark Mountains.
This house has 2.5 levels and three living areas. Enjoy outdoor living on the spacious patio with your entire group, or take a walk to the boat dock and enjoy the best "Lake Experience".
At the bottom of the hill is the boat dock with a swim deck. You can walk down the path to the lake & boat dock or, at normal lake levels you can drive down a side path/hill on black top to the Corp of Engineers property line and then walk on dirt/gravel to the boat dock, which is less of a hill than the groomed path from the house, but still a 200 - 300 ft walk to the dock. (If lake levels are high, the walking path ends up being IN the tree line.)
Bring your fishing poles, relax, swim off the boat dock. Bring your own boat or rent a boat/jet ski from the nearby marina.
Enjoy all that this large estate has to offer: It is common to see deer and all sorts of wild life. Hike the property or just relax on the covered balcony.

This home has been in the family for nearly 40 years. It has been their family reunion and Christmas location for 2 generations. The home has been enlarged and updated along the way. The family feels if they can share this home and location with others it can bring the same joy as it has to their family.
This is a family home of 2 generations and is still used by the family to get together and enjoy all the beauty and serenity of this property. They all love skiing, hiking, fishing and enjoying wildlife. There is so much to do in the area that they all look forward to getting together.
Having your own 80+ wooded acres for privacy is something words can not describe. The approximate 6000 square foot home has 3 large family rooms. It also has a large dining room that can accommodate everyone. Breathtaking views from covered decks.
This property is everything described and more. The house itself is is great shape, and furnished very comfortably. We had plenty of room, and would occasionally "lose" the teens because it's so big...but we'd always find them downstairs listening to music and playing pool. The location is the most secluded that we've rented on Beaver, or any other lake for that matter. You cannot see (or be seen) by any other house, so you really feel like you have the lake all to yourself. The gated access was extra nice, as it added a sense of security while we were on the lake all day each day. The walk down to the lake is short, but steep as described in other reviews. However their is a private paved road that will take you down to the waters edge...and right up to the dock at normal lake levels, so there is no need to tote gear up and down the hill. At the dock there was a large group of brim swimming around the entire time we were there, the kids had a blast feeding them each day. The boat slip was available for our boat and was a breeze to get in and out of (19ft open bow). Any electrical issues with the dock mention in other reviews must have been solved, as we had no problems whatsoever. We also so deer constantly milling around the property, as well as a Bald Eagle. The only minor issue (and I hate to even mention it as the house/property really was awesome) is the gas grill has seen better days. If your planning on cooking out a lot (we did) you might want to bring your own. It'll get you by, but the burners are rusted and damaged so an even flame is impossible. If your here looking for a house to rent then you probably already know how awesome Beaver Lake is (shhh, don't tell every, it's kind of a hidden secret), and this is by far the nicest home we've rented on the lake to date. I'll admit that even though we've rented many times through VRBO, this is the first home we've rented that was overseen by a rental company, and I was a bit hesitant. Don't be...the folks at BLVR we're very accommodating, the check in procedures were a breeze, they were always helpful with my questions leading up to the vacation, and the check out requests we're clear and very reasonable. We will be back, and would recommend this place, as well as doing business with Beaver Lake Vacation Rentals.
Would have been a great place except for some major problems.
1. Do not rent this until you verify that the water pressure problem is fixed. The water pressure was so low that it was almost unusable. Most of didn't shower for the 4 days we were there.
2. If you are planning on bringing a boat, verify that you will have a slip to use. There was a boat in the only slip on the dock. Our party had 2 boats and had to tie up on the sides of the dock. It worked OK, but the description makes it sound like you will get to use the boat slip.
3. THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM ON THE DOCK. 3 OF US FELT A SHOCK WHILE CLIMBING THE SWIM LADDER. WE DISCONNECTED POWER FROM THE DOCK AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. CALLED THE RENTAL AGENCY ABOUT THE SHOCKING PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD THAT THE OWNER HAD IT INVESTIGATED AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS NOT A PROBLEM. I BEG TO DIFFER. I FELT THE SHOCK. IT MADE MY HANDS NUMB. ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AT DOCKS CAN KILL PEOPLE. SINCE THE OWNER DIDN'T TAKE OUR COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS SERIOUSLY I FEEL IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO WARN ANYONE. TO BE SAFE, JUST DISCONNECT THE POWER FROM THE DOCK BEFORE YOU GET IN THE WATER.
We had a great time at Hawkins landing. The home is very spacious and was accommodating to our needs. We spent a great deal of time on the dock and in the water.
There are a few things I would consider before renting this property again. The water pressure in the home couldn't keep up with the amount of use needed. The home has two air conditioning units and the one on the older part of the home wouldn't not cool like the other unit. There was no satellite TV in the master bedroom or if there was we couldn't figure it out. The path to the dock is not an easy, so be sure you take everything you need with you.
We recently held our annual family get together here for the second year in a row. The property is WONDERFUL and with all the space we are able to enjoy each other while still having privacy and room to spread out when we want to. Would like to see the owners add wifi and a TV receiver box downstairs. The new property management team is a definite plus over last year!
We are wrapping up a stay here and overall have been pleased with the property. We are here for a baseball tournament at the U of A and surrounding communities and wanted the boys to have some time on the lake in their down time. We areAA 40 minute drive from the university, and less than 30 minutes from Springdale where many of our games are being played.
Overall, the house is excellent There is plenty of room as advertised and the back patio and decks are excellent for relaxing and spending time with family and friends The home sets back a half mile off the road and is truly on a great piece of land. In addition, the house is fully surrounded by trees and stays shady and cool for most of the day. We have had the windows open for most of the trip and enjoyed waking up to the cool temps and the sounds of wildlife outdoors. There is also an abundance of deer on the property and we have seen a wide variety of wildlife. While returning to the house yesterday, we saw a large black snake fall out of a tree in a ball and suffocate and swallow his prey, a young chipmunk, right before our eyes wile we watched and filmed the event...definitely in the wild.
The house does have some limitations though, and it's important to be aware of them. First, Internet access at the house is virtually non-existent, and no wireless access is available. I brought a wireless hotspot but access is off and on. We would suggest the owners consider adding regular or wireless Internet access at the residence to overcome what is a big issue for a few of us - enough that we will likely leave a few days early because of our need to access some files at the office.
Secondarily, access to the dock is very difficult. The path to the dock is down a very steep hill with large stones on the path down to the dock - it appears the stones are to stop the erosion. There is no lights along the path so night access was treacherous and the stones on the path were loose under foot making the path not suitable for the very young or old. Carrying larger items down the path such as heavy coolers would be virtually impossible.
Lastly, the Blu-Ray DVD and cable access mentioned for the master bedroom was not available as advertised.
All in all, this is a great property, but if Internet and easy water access are important to your group be sure to check with the owners to see if upgrades have been made in these areas.
Secluded 80 + acres is a natural sanctuary to wildlife and the Ozark Mt. forest is a fall foliage marvel.
