Charming light-filled apartment tranquil and quiet in the heart of a lively neighborhood full of culture and history. Located on Rue des Boulangers, a historic short cobblestoned street on the Roman hill of Lutece, it is the most convenient of locations.
Steps away are a bank and ATM, bakeries, grocery stores, post office, shops, cafes and restaurants. You can find everything you need within just a few blocks. In addition to stores, three open markets within a 5 minute walk afford shopping for food, flowers and more every day of the week (Rue Moufftard, Place Monge and Place Maubert). Many of the most pretigious universities of Paris are in walking distance as are the beautiful gardens of the Arene de Lutece, Jardin des Plantes and Jardin Luxembourg. There is a gym and pool that offers daily and weekly memberships nearby (Rue Pontoise).
Just down the street is the Boulevard St. Germain and the Seine at the Quai de la Tournelle (location of the famous restaurant Tour D'Argent) with beautiful views of the Ile St. Louis and the back of Notre Dame. It is also a short walk to the Pantheon, the Sorbonne, the Place de la Contrescarpe, the Rue Moufftard, and the Gare de Austerlitz.
With three different bus lines and two different metro lines less than a hundred yards away, all other sites of Paris are easily accessible. Check out 'Rue des Boulangers Paris' on Google maps to see how well located it is!
One reaches the apartment through an entry-coded huge wooden door and passage to our building facing the garden; then up stairs two floors. The apartment is sunny, very quiet and private with large windows in the kitchen, living and bed rooms. Because the view is of the courtyard and trees rather than other buildings, it feels very spacious. The apartment was recently painted and has refinished hardwood floors.
Art work, rugs and drapes have been added since the photos were taken. There are two new twin beds in the bedroom with a small night table between them with a lamp. These two beds can be pushed together to create a king sized bed if desired. The bedroom has a large armoire closet with drawers and a chair with a reading lamp and a large mirror. The living room has a couch that converts to a bed and a dining table with two chairs..
The bathroom has a sink with a mirror and cabinet overhead, shower, heater, and additional closet. There is a separate WC with a window. The kitchen is well equipped.
While the apartment is extremely well located for transportation around the city, with so much of historic Paris's sites,markets, parks, vibrant cafes and restaurants to enjoy nearby, you can have a fabulous time just hanging out in this neighborhood!

When I stay at the apartment I'm always amazed at the unique situation of being in such a vibrant interesting neighborhood close to so many Parisian sites yet being in a sunny quiet garden setting. It is such a pleasure to shop in the markets, make lunch and eat it looking out on the trees and garden. I can quickly get to anywhere in Paris but once I've had enough, I can retreat to this oasis. When I'm recharged, more to do is just steps away.
Amazing location, park-like and tranquil. Great bakeries and restaurants nearby. Love the internet cafe and vegetarian restaurant just ten door down the street.
I have rented from Linda several times now in the past few years. I have found dealing with her and her representative in Paris, Maryvonne, truly a pleasure. It is easy to reserve the flat, everything lined out for you and clear right from the start so no surprises when you leave the flat. I love the area and the flat is located conveniently so practically everything is acceissible either by metro or on foot. When I think of going to Paris, this flat is always my first choice. I stayed here in July for 2 weeks and had it all to myself. I had the best time ever!!!!
My wife and I just returned from our 3rd stay in Linda's apartment, this time for 10 days. It is the most wonderful place to experience Paris as a Parisian not just a tourist. It is located in a residential apartment building situated in a vibrant working class neighborhood. There is a primary school located about 100 yards from the building and the school yard is visible from every window in the apartment. Listening to the children at play certainly adds to the feeling of belonging. Other reviews have listed a lot of the positives about the apartment, all of which I agree with, so I will try not to repeat them. I will say the apartment is quiet, roomy and well equipped. The corner with the Cardinal Lemoine Metro stop is located 1/2 block from the apartment. At that corner are 2 bakeries, a cafe, a florist, an ATM and most important a French super market. I will end by repeating what I have earlier written that Linda is extremely easy to work with and her representative in Paris, Maryvonne is very nice and very helpful. Our first and hopefully only choice for all future trips to Paris will be in this apartment.
My wife and I stayed in this wonderful apartment at the end of March, beginning of April and found it to be spacious, comfortable, and quiet with beautiful light throughout the day. It overlooks a lovely garden courtyard. Great location close to metro and buses; fantastic bakeries and all other shopping essentials are all nearby. Short walking distance to the river, the Jardin des Plantes, Mouffetard and much more. Kitchen has everything one needs and the washing machine was a great convenience. Would love to go back!
My husband and I rented this lovely apartment for 2 weeks and it proved to be better than we had imagined. This was our second time renting in Paris, but the first in this apartment.
We looked up information on the area and found it to be loaded with so much history. The cobbled street outside dates back to the 14th century. Across the street there had originally been an English Convent School for girls and Aurore Dupin 1804 - 1876, who found literary fame under the pen name of George Sand, was educated there. Around the corner is the Arenes de Lutece, now a park but originally a Roman arena.
2 outdoor markets, Place Monge and Place Maubert, were open for shopping on alternate days. We loved the Place Monge Sunday market and bought roasted meats, veggies and side dishes for dinner. They refer to organic as "bio" and there were a few stalls that specialized in bio produce. There was also a full time market on Rue Monge that was 100% bio and had wonderful groceries. A major chain market, Carrefors, is right around the corner. There was no shortage of wonderful bakeries, cheese shops and butchers within an easy walk.
My husband is 6'6" and we found the bed to be a good size and also very comfortable. Storage space was plentiful as well. A very large bureau was in the bedroom that had more than enough room for our things. We put our suitcases under the desk in the bedroom nicely out of sight. It was very convenient to have the washer and drying rack which we used several times. The kitchen was equipped with anything you needed for cooking and we put it to good use. We loved opening the large windows and enjoying the view while having coffee or a meal.
A very short walk in either direction out the front door had us at 2 Metro lines. Although we walked a lot, we did use the Metro for some long distance travel. We also enjoyed walking to the Batobus (water taxi) at Notre Dame.
We truly loved this apartment and felt like a part of the neighborhood for our 2 week stay. When we return, this little gem will be our choice to stay at again.
This was my second stay in the apartment, and I will definitely stay here again. The apartment is lovely, and it is in a great location. Linda was very easy to communicate with regarding the rental. Highly recommend this apartment.
This is our second time using Linda's fantastic apartment. The experience was even better this trip due to our familiarity with the apartment and the neighborhood. The unit has everything you could possibly need to cook your own meals. We enjoy going to the small non-touristy restaurants, in the area, of which there are many by the Pantheon, however we have also brought food back on occasion. With just two apartments per floor the building is very quiet. The view from the windows is onto neighboring gardens and an elementary school yard. Listening to the children before school, as we eat breakfast, is one of the pleasures we look forward too. Linda and her representative in Paris are extremely easy to work with. They are very prompt in answering any questions. The location is in the heart of the Latin Quarter. It is just 1/2 a block to two different Metro stops with connections from them to anywhere in Paris plus CDG and Orly Airports. I highly recommend this apartment. We like it so much that we will schedule future trips to Paris based on the availability of Linda's apartment.
