Guestbook comments from the manager

Dear Scott-We tried to submit our review but were unable to do so. If you would like to submit it please feel free. Thank you for everything-we enjoyed our stay.

We planned a little wedding in Santa Fe around Christmas. My husband and I thought the house was a perfect little honeymoon retreat. We had a few family members for dinner and found the kitchen to be stocked with everything we needed. Someone with an eye for detail was in charge of the decorating. I found myself walking around taking pictures of the charming details around the house. On Christmas the courtyard was covered with a white blanket of snow. We had some minor issues with a shortage of hot water on the first day. The issue was promptly addressed and resolved by the property owner. There is a nice Whole Foods just a couple miles away. We liked shopping there and using the beautiful kitchen to cook. The surrounding area is beautiful for a walk. There are tons of locals out walking their dog's. The queen size bed is a little hard. Some of details we appreciated were the soft plush towels, soft linens, fluffy pillows, pretty dishes and utensils, Viking range, sub zero refrigerator/freezer, a nice view out every window, the humidifier, and of course the decorating.

comfortable casa

This was our second stay in this pleasant property that is in a quiet location with walking access to Canyon Street shops, restaurants, etc.

Our golden retrievers had a good time with local walks and mountain hikes.

Excellent and very responsive property managers.

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

Conveniently located on a rustic dirt lane near Canyon Road and the Plaza, but also secluded, with a lovely private patio. Two nice bedrooms and baths, exposed vigas and kiva fireplace, and appointed with beautiful Santa Fe art. And friendly neighbors too. This was a great place to call home for our Santa Fe vacation. The one suggestion I might make would be to add a reading lamp with good light near the two comfortable reading chairs. We hope to come back.

Great place to stay; atrocious parking. Only 4 stars because of parking

  • 4 of 5

The living quarters were comfortable for the most part. The only complaint was that the bathroom for one of the bedrooms was only accessed through the dining area/kitchen.

Supplies and kitchen utensils were complete. Lots of towels. The place was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The coffee pot was very hard to start. Parking was risky at best. One of our vehicles was damaged when a resident scraped the side of one on the vehicles. The parking is very limited. One car in the cul de sac next to the house. The other car on the dusty, dirt road. The cul de sac has 5 residences crowded on a very narrow alley with 5 vehicles for the permanent residents jockeying for a place to park in addition to our cars.. We had one space allocated to us and the other had to park on the narrow dirt road. Both cars were very dirty at the end of the 7 day stay. We would not stay again only because of the parking.

Owner's Response: One of the mattresses is brand new and the other is less than 5 years old. Both are quality mattresses from Denver Mattress, but yes, more firm. Because of this, we have now added nice memory foam toppers to both mattresses.

My family of four stayed here for Spring Break. We have two children -5&7, it was the perfect place for us. Two comfy bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms. The gourmet kitchen is fabulous-a gas Viking stove/oven and sub-zero fridge/freezer drawers. These drawers are great for kid access-phew! The location cant be beat. We could walk to the Plaza, or jump on any major road within minutes. The historic east side is such a treasure. There is an amazing playground just down the road at Acequia Madre Elementary that our family visited every day after school was out. The neighborhood grocery, Kaunes, is close and well edited. The house is well stocked with all necessary sundries and the stacked washer/dryer was such a great thing to have with two eternally dusty kids! Less than a 5 minute walk away is Garcia's Bookstore and Downtown Subscription coffee. Last, but definitely not least, the decor is amazing. Again, high-end, beautiful, comfortable furniture and antiques - with just the right amount of southwestern appeal- no dream-catchers here!

Cute two BR adobe located a few blocks off Canyon Road.

  • 4 of 5

Well supplied and clean, nicely furnished, beds were a bit hard- I'd recommend the owner invest in some memory foam toppers. Good location and not noisy at all. Walking distance to Canyon Road but you probably will drive and park to go to the Plaza area.
