Located on Ocean Boulevard, this condominium is just across the street from the ocean with access to the only private fishing pier on the Isle of Palms.

Very comfortable, smoke-free, and recently updated, family friendly condominium located on the first floor of the 'A' building. The master bedroom has a new king-size bed with a private bath. There is a queen and a twin bed in the second bedroom. A sleeper sofa in the living room provides additional sleeping if needed. Enjoy a family game of scrabble or Yahtzee, cozy up with a book or embark on a jigsaw puzzle. Use ours or bring your own.

Located in the heart of Isle of Palms, you are just steps from the beach and within walking distance to great restaurants (some with live music), local shopping, and activities. Additional shopping just over the IOP connector – 5 minutes away. Play at some of the area's finest golf courses. Enjoy the wide beaches, tidal pools, swimming in the surf, searching for star fish and sand dollars, or a little game of low tide bocce-ball.

Downtown Charleston is just 12 miles away. Learn more about this charming historic town on a horse-drawn carriage ride or tour Charleston Bay and Forte Sumter by boat.

About Dawn and Randy Queen

We are Randy and Dawn Queen from Charlotte NC. We have been married 25 years and have 3 children. We discovered the IOP when we relocated to Charlotte from California over 18 years ago. I grew up in the Va Beach area and knew we needed a beach a little closer to us. I fell in love on my first trip to the island. Many family memories have been made on our many trips.

We purchased our first condo on the IOP over 11 years ago and decided to purchase another property in the same Oceanside Villas complex.

Why Dawn and Randy Queen chose Charleston Area

This is our second property on the Isle of Palms. We purchased our first property in 2005 in this same community. We love the location of the Oceanside Villas and love sharing our love of the beach. The Isle of Palms enjoys a very long beach season and a lovely off season with mild winter temps.

What makes this condo unique

We are owner managers and do not use a property management service. This allows us to serve our guests better. We are in the property often making sure everything is working and kept in good condition. We personally stay in this property with our family often and want to be comfortable here too.

We love being right in the heart of Isle of Palms. This is a great walking community with restaurants, shops and other vendors just a short walk away. The Isle of Palms fishing pier is private and coded for exclusive use of the Oceanside Villas and Sea Cabins.

Super comfy!

We had a wonderful time. Unit was clean and neat. Kitchen was very well equipped. There were even beach chairs for our use! There was no beach view but beach was an easy walking distance.

Clean unit close to the beach

We have 3 boys from 9-14 years old and there was room for the five of us. The unit was clean and location was great. Close to the beach and restaurants. If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere. If you like affordable, clean, and a great location this is the place. We had a minor problem with the keyless entry and the owner replied in minutes. The problem was rectified immediately. Very happy with our stay. Nice safe neighborhood.

Great find close to the beach and restaurants!

The property was exactly what the pics described....no hidden surprises. Everything has been updated and is very clean! There were mattress protectors on all of the beds which, as a germophobe, I completely appreciate!!! After reading all the reviews, we brought extra toilet paper and paper towels. We didn't need the extra though since we were really gone all day every day. We did not bring extra trash bags and they give you one extra for each trash can. The dumpster is right outside the condo, which was convenient.

The only downsides to the condo: the master bedroom door would not shut. It seemed to be possible humidity since there looked to be some water damage on the ceiling in the master bath. I immediately contacted Dawn to let her know that it was like that when we arrived. It was a downfall not being able to shut our bedroom door on vaca. :/

The couch is THE most comfortable couch I have ever sat on...seriously. I knew when I booked that there was only one couch. I went ahead and chose this condo over another in the same building because of the updates. After arriving though, I realized we definitely need 2 couches. When we are on vacation, we watch movies together every night as a family. Since there was just the one couch, people dispersed into bedrooms due to the lack of space. There are 2 wicker chairs, but these are just not comfortable at all. Like I said, I knew this when I booked.

Also, for some reason, the master bedroom didn't seem to stay as cool...just seemed stuffy.

Internet was wonky intermittently.

We appreciated the key pad on the door so we didn't have to worry about keys...or losing them. Parking passes were waiting for us when we arrived. Dawn seems to have it down to a science and everything went flawlessly!

Seriously. If there were ever 2 couches/love seats or extra comfortable chairs added, we would definitely book again!

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We love being close to the restaurants too! The sofa is a newer addition - Glad you liked it. We always felt two sofas cut the family room off from the dining area flow. We will certainly take your suggestion into consideration. I have been looking for the right comfy chair to replace the not so comfy one we inherited when we purchased the unit. We just got rid of it the beginning of March. Unfortunately, that sofa is no longer available or we could buy another... I will be there in a week and will have our ac guy check out the air flow. The unit is brand new as of March 2016. I will also take a look at the equipment for wifi - It is high speed from comcast and should not cut out. Maybe a bad coax cable. If not that, I will replace the modem with comcast. We realize ac and wifi are key for a successful vacation.

Great spot for a long weekend

Really liked the layout of the condo. Just the right amount of room to give everyone their space. Great HOT water and equipped kitchen. Quick access to the beach and little shops.

Communication was great with property owners which was HUGE given Hurricane Matthew's projected path. IOP was spared and our plans continued.

Easy drive to the Charleston airport and downtown, too.

Will recommend VRBO and this unit to others.

Sun - Sun 5 night minimum rentals during summer or peak season (including holidays). Nightly rates may be available during non peak times. For nightly rentals, we generally require 3 nights as a minimum but will do 2 nights as a last minute rental or if only 2 nights are available. We operate very much like a vacation rental - weekly season is very much in demand on the IOP from March to October - and less like a nightly rate hotel. We offer as a vacation rental the convenience of being close to the beach (and all it offers), having 2 bedrooms/2 baths and a full kitchen.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
