Best Location! Experience the North Shore in the best beachfront unit with spectacular views of the ocean. What better way to spend your vacation in Hawaii relaxing on your own private lanai staring & mesmerized at the ocean/beach, watching the sunset! Awesome 3rd floor (walk-up) unit has spectacular views of famous North Shore surf breaks (Haleiwa - home of the Triple Crown Surf Tournament as well as Bay Watch). Good to know your buildings - this unit is in the beachfront building (B for Beach) of Haleiwa Surf Condos facing the ocean. Great for that romantic get-away or a fun family vacation. Lots to see & do! Haleiwa Surf Condominium is conveniently located near Historic Haleiwa Town for shopping and restaurants. With a full kitchen, you can have simple to gourmet meals in the condo or delicious dine-out meals just down the road. When to come to Hawaii? You ask…well each season is wonderful and the temperature doesn’t change much more than 10 degrees from winter to summer, it’s typically in the 80’s daily. Our tropical tradewinds cool us in the summer and the tropical breeze off of the ocean warms us in the winter.
Summer - the ocean on the North Shore is calmer in the summer. Although there can be some smaller wave action to surf, it’s typically a great time to snorkel, boat, fish, kayak, SUP and swim. The Haleiwa Boat Harbor is nearby next to Haleiwa Alii Beach Park. Sharks cove is fabulous for snorkeling (a great reef shelf with many colorful fish, coral & turtles).
Winter – the ocean on the North Shore is famous for the BIG WAVES. This is so incredibly spectacular to watch (or surf if you dare). A definite must to see is Pipeline, Sunset & Waimea beaches (can reach up to 25 feet)! And of course can watch right off the lanai, Haleiwa, Avalanche Puaena Pt. & Walls.
Spring – can be end of winter swells or balmy beginning of summer or more than likely a combination of both seasons.
Fall – can be beginning of winter swells or end of summer calm oceans, probably a combination of both seasons.
Fall thru Spring is whale season and Humpbacks can be seen breaching from your lanai. Most seasons the Honu (sea turtles) are swimming in the reef and can be seen popping up their heads or while snorkeling along with an array of beautiful colorful fish. Oh and visiting Monk Seal sunbathing on the beach in front of your condo as well as dolphins spinning by. Truly nature’s wildlife zoo for you viewing pleasure.
Kona Winds – periodically through-out the year there are Kona wind days (humid). But mostly in late Summer to early Fall.

Great grounds...Great condo!
The grounds on the property looked better than they ever have! The condo, once again, was very comfortable and felt like home... just like when we owned it previously. We do like the updates and the sofa in the living room was very comfortable for sitting and made a great place to sleep! I loved the air conditioning in the bedroom... it's nice to cool off the room before retiring! We are very much looking forward to our month again there next year! Thanks for the "Puffies" again Robin... you know what we love which includes you!
Audrey & Gary Lapka
Aloha Audrey & Gary, yes and thank you for sharing your home away from home with us. We thoroughly enjoyed decorating our/your little paradise & sharing it with others too. Look forward to seeing you next year. Mahalo, Robin
Nice location on the north shore.
This property is nicely located with a park on either side, nice beach area, easy walk to the small town of Haleiwa.
One does not hear much road traffic from this property at all, but some noise can be heard from the units behind because the bedroom faces them. This was mostly due to small children at this off season time of year. ( April). Grounds are nicely kept.
We found the Beach House restaurant just past the bridge over the river was very good. One can walk to this also.
The Malama market has a nice selection of goods also, and of course one is very near the Polynesian Cultural Center. Great way to spend a day. Aside from this, one does not really need a car. Bus service is frequent but you need patience to do it this way. A car gives you more freedom but traffic is heavy and slow, especially going further NE around the point. Several good very crowed beaches. The beach area in front and around the condo is super. We saw whales breeching and blowing off the reef area twice. Although we saw turtles briefly, we saw none on land.
Nice stay of 3 weeks.
Beach Front, Top Floor and a very well renovated apartment.
Beside the localization, Robin’s apartment is renovated, neat and clean.
lovely place to stay
The condo was great - it was well appointed and we appreciated the pack and play, as well as extra blankets as it was cold some days. Bring binoculars (telescope needs to be tossed) to look for turtles and whales, as well as watch the surfers. The location was great - we went to the PCC 2 days and Turtle Bay 2 days. It is close to town with cute shops and great restaurants. The snorkeling and swimming are fantastic right outside the condo. The grounds are well cared for and the beach is PERFECT for lounging. Laundry was convenient and appreciated. We would DEFINITELY recommend this place. The owner was responsive to a hot-water issue (no biggy). A+ for this place.
Aloha Kim, so glad you had a swell time at Haleiwa Surf! And so happy your hubby is handy & turned up the hot water, LOL, thanks! Glad it worked well for you. Mahalo for the 5 star review!
We wrapped up a wonderful long stay at E Komo Mai in Haleiwa last week. Communication with Robin was as timely and as smooth as possible from start to finish. The property was exactly as presented. The specific location of the unit itself could not have been more perfect - top floor, dead center, directly on the beach and directly in front of a pristine snorkeling area that all the local guides take advantage of.
Nothing is quite as relaxing as watching massive momma humpbacks jump clear out of the water from your balcony. We also loved watching the baby humpbacks practice their jumps and tail slaps. And how cool was it to marvel at the countless surfers riding waves up to 30 feet directly out front or just down the way at the public beach!
The property grounds are extremely well taken care of and the community laundry facility came in handy as well. We found all the neighbors to be super resepectful and quiet - except Rusty the rooster who missed sunrise by about 2 hours some mornings.
The one thing we recommend is to bring a good pair of binoculars. There is a semi functioning baby telescope provided, but it works marginally and it’s fitting is broken so it won’t mount on the tripod provided. We brought a small pair of nice binocs and were extremely glad we did.
We found this property and this city to be idyllic for whatever ails you. Haleiwa is an incredibly chill place with some of the sweetest folks we have ever met.
Aloha Kristen, wow you write so well, thank you, so glad you enjoyed your stay. A hui hou (until we meet again).
Right on the ocean in the North Shore.... Great place to stay with beautiful views
The location is right in the heart of the North Shore. Walking distance to town. The building is literally steps from the Ocean. A Beautiful view from my Lanai 24/7. My family enjoyed our week in this Condo. Nice and clean with all the comforts of home. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting to get away from the crowds in Honolulu. The restaurants, local shops, food trucks and miles of Beautiful beach can not be beat!
Next trip to O’ahu I most definitely would stay here.
Aloha Holly, so glad you had an amazing time at Haleiwa Surf. Yes, would love for you to stay again. Mahalo, Robin
Historic Haleiwa Town is self contained with everything from grocer, pharmacy, banks, shaved-ice stands, coffee, art galleries, and great restaurants to even a McD’s if the keiki (kids) are with you. Some must-do’s & favorites are Matsumoto’s Shaved-ice, Haleiwa Joe’s (you can walk to), Jameson’s by the Sea, Kua’aina Burgers (great fries too), Cholo's Mexican, the Shrimp trucks, way too many to name. You can take surfing lessons or rent a board in the many surf shops in Haleiwa as well as buy the cutest bikini in the darling boutiques! Kayak up the river from the boat harbor under picturesque Anahulu bridge. Go on a Shark adventure, fishing tour or boat ride at the Harbor. Visit Waimea Botanical Gardens & learn the hula. Or just sunbathe and take that long stroll on the beach. Pearl Harbor, Waikiki, Hawaiian Water Adventure Park & Polynesian Cultural Center are all approximately 30 to 45 minutes away, so nothing is too far away from this unique experience in Hawaii. You will remember this stay at (and probably return to) Haleiwa Surf and Hawaii. We are looking forward to sharing this wonderful experience and condo with you!
