About Lee Reed

My wife and I lived in the Gunnison Country, in this home, for four years before moving. We enjoyed the area and our friends so much, we decided to keep the home after we moved. We take every opportunity to come home and see old friends and revitalize ourselves. Some of our favorite activities are shopping in Gunnison and Crested Butte, hiking, 4-wheeling, enjoying meals as the locally owned restaurants, but mostly, sitting on the front porch or back deck and taking in the creation around us.

Lee Reed purchased this house in 2005

Why Lee Reed chose Southwestern Colorado

We purchased this property as our residence when we lived in Gunnison. When we moved from Gunnison, we loved the friends we made, the house and the area too much to totaly leave, so we kept the house as our second home.

What makes this house unique

When we go to our Gunnison home, we enjoy sipping our morning coffee on the front porch and watch the sunrise and the Tomichi Creek valley wake-up. We enjoy our evening wine on the back deck while watching the sunset and the horses at the Green Mesa Ranch. Between these events, we enjoy hiking and jeeping the Gunnison Country, shopping in Gunnison and Crested Butte, boating on Blue Mesa Reservoir.

Great location, clean, comfortable home, great for families

  • 5 of 5

House is clean, well maintained with plenty of room for a large family or 3 or 4 couples. Very nice appliances from the washer/ dryer to the kitchen. Private setting, yet close enough to town. 360 views are great! We found all of the little things we didn't pack like spices, sandwich bags etc. I don't know if these were from the owners or previous renters, either way the house is well stocked with the small extras. The owner was very easy to work with and repeatedly told us if something isn't right to contact him, there was never a need to call. The only small issue we encountered was the thermostat must be preprogrammed to bump down to 53 degrees every 6 to 8 hours. The low temps while we were there were in the upper 20's. We just had to remember to adjust it in the morning and before bed time. Other than that everyone enjoyed this place and the trails that are available right from the house were enjoyed by our whole group.

Wonderful property! Perfect for our group!

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful home was perfect for our large group of adults in town for our daughter's graduation from WSCU. The home is most comfortable and very clean with amazing views from everywhere! The main level bedrooms & bathrooms worked great for our elderly parents. We were able to enjoy meals and at the large dining room table and the amazing kitchen is very well equipped. Mr. Reed was very accommodating and quick to respond to our questions.

We would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Thank you! Your home was beautiful and very comfortable. We so appreciate your help in accommodating our needs. It was such a treat to wake up to such a lovely view. We had no problem finding the place, even at midnight. It fit our needs perfectly and we have a beautiful, healthy baby girl to top of the trip!
