Everything about this stay was fantastic. The people at Maui Westside Properties were fantastic to work with. Having never booked through them, you are always a little nervous, but e-mails and phone calls were always handled great. The unit itself, 501 Konea is beautiful. Don't think you can beat the view! The unit is very spacious with plenty of room to spread out and put your personal belongings away. The resort pools were great for the kids, and despite being there for Easter week, there were plenty of chairs around the pool to lounge around on. Dukes is a very nice restaurant that we visited pretty much every day, either for breakfast, Lunch or dinner. Loved the steak tacos! We didn't do much cooking this trip, but the Lanai had beautiful Viking appliances for grilling. Even had an outdoor refrigerator to store your food. We also liked the convenient access to both Lahaina and Kapalua. They were both just a short drive away. All in All, we hope to be back to Maui in the next several years, and hope this unit is available when we do.
Love the Honea Kai resort, nice condo, had everything expected. This condo is in need of a little TLC, cleaning and furniture updates, otherwise great!!
Absolutley spectacular. But, fair warning, beaches are just okay. Lots of coral, not all that clear water, small waves. Room had lots of little problems. 1950's societ era washer/dryer, stuff falling apart (blind pulls, refrigerator shelf). Would return, same view maybe different room.
Just returned from a 5 night stay at Honua Kai Unit 501 in the Konea Building......We have stayed at that complex quite a few times but this was our first visit within unit 501. They did everything right here. The unit is impeccably clean with upgraded appliances including the gas grill on the deck. The view is simply amazing (corner unit) looking out to the beautiful Pacific. The staff is extremely efficient that tends to your every need. With 2 bedrooms and three bathrooms we had plenty of space for four people. We booked this beauty for next November also and it just doesn't disappoint. Thank you for a fantastic stay!!!!!
WOW!. Where do I begin? We have stayed at many beautiful hotels and timeshares over the years. This was by far one of the nicest places we have stayed in, and the best oceanfront view EVER. We have been coming to Maui for 35 years and this was the best views and absolutely best sunsets from the balcony. The Honua Kai is beautifully kept. The grounds and pools are beautiful. We have always liked timeshares that also feel like hotels. This was ideal with the hotel lobby entry ways, bellman, valet if needed etc. Having Dukes on the property sets this place over the top with great food and bar service at the pool like all the best hotels on the island. Everything about our 4 day stay was unbelievable and we look forward to returning to Maui and staying at the same unit Konea 501!!. Thank you for making this such a great vacation for our entire family.
We traveled with three adults and two kids and couldn't be more happy with the property. We loved enjoying morning coffee on the spacious patio with amazing views. The full
Kitchen allowed us to eat in, but location was so close to restaurants if we wanted to have a meal out. Walking distance to grocery store made it very convenient for us to grab groceries. Pools were so fun and the beach was great as well. The rental agency and Barb were gracious hosts, we would rent from them again too. We would highly recommend a stay there and we hope to rent this location in the future.
We just finished up a stay at this condo and I would agree with all the accolades thus far. Spacious accommodations, fantastic views, and large lanai say it all. But what many people haven't said, and I was impressed with, was the abundance of supplies that were in the condo for our use. We stayed two weeks and never had to buy paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, toilet paper, shampoo, plastic wrap, salt, pepper -- you name it. I travel quite a bit and have never been in a condo so thoroughly stocked. What a nice place to stay!
