Peaceful, country setting only five miles from Santee and I-95. Large lot with 2300-square-foot, A-frame, two-story home. Three bedrooms, two full baths. Large den and kitchen. Decks off of each bedroom and the kitchen with relaxing views.

The screened deck off of the Master bedroom has a romantic Jacuzzi. Greatroom deck overlooks the in-ground pool and the large protected cove with easy, quick access to 'big' water. Lighted pier and dock for fishing, sun bathing, and boating. Full service marina close by (Mill Creek).

Private in-ground swimming pool. Pool will only be open mid May to mid September.

We are pet friendly- just let us know the number of pets and breed.

The Lake Marion area is famous for its fishing and golfing. Eat at Santee's numerous restaurants or visit Santee State Park. The nearby town of Elloree is known for its quaint downtown, it's restaurants and many antique shops. Historic Charleston is just one hour away. Or, just enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. The best of all worlds.

Excellent location and plenty of room for family gatherings.

Very relaxing lake/pool vacation getaway

  • 5 of 5

First of all, agree with the many other reviews, the pictures do not do do this home justice. This home is very, very clean, spacious, and has everything you can ever ask for, all you need is to make the 8 minute drive to Santee to get groceries and you'll never have to leave again. The week we were there was extremely hot with each day over 100 degrees, but with the morning shade on back deck and having the pool (and, the cleanest pool I have ever been in) to yourself it was still a very quiet and satisfying vacation. Fishing was of course terrible due to the heat, so I put that stuff away and enjoyed the pool all the more. We are able to grill out every day on the covered and shaded porch and were able to carry your food in and put right on the table. Sheets, towels, washer, and dryer for your use, all the cooking utensils, plates, pans you can ever need are all there for your use. Sharon and Sam are excellent to work with, got back to me very quickly with any e-mail I sent, and called to check up on us to be sure everything was ok. Even when the power went out during an afternoon storm Sam was able to steer me to the breaker box to be sure everything came back on accordingly. Super great people and a super great home to vacation in!!

This is a wonderful property to rent for a getaway

  • 5 of 5

I want to say, the pictures of this home do not do it justice. When we opened the door and started going to all the rooms, we were so excited about the property. Every bedroom has its own porch and the hot tub sits off the master bedroom on the porch!. The pool is outside the back door and thankfully has a fence around it so little ones can not wander in it. Off the backyard are lke railroad tie steps that you take down to the dock. There you can fish and even dock a boat.

I have previously rented condos and such places and have taken my kitchen stuff with me because what was there was not sufficient or it was in bad shape and I did not want to use it. Since I did not know what to exptect, I did it this time, too. However, this home is supplied with everything for cooking you will need. It also has sheets, towels, beach towels, floats, and lots of other stuff. Seriously, you only need to pack your bags for this stay. Next time, I am only packing a bag.

It has a fireplace and we are seriously considering a weekend getaway in the winter!!! We will definitly be renting it again in the future!!!! I give it 5 *****

The owner is wonderful and communicates with you. You can ask her anything and she will respond! I also give her 5 *****

Lisa Brown one happy guest!!!

Great relaxing place to vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for a week with my family of 4. We had never been to a South Carolina lake before and it was a great experience! The house had plenty of space for us all to relax. The house was very clean and in great condition, especially considering pets are allowed. The kitchen was well stocked, the grill worked great. The pool was amazing to float around in, it is surrounded by trees, very private and quiet. The walk to the dock is down a steep hill, but worth the walk, and it is beautiful come sunset. There are birds all over, ton's of turtles. We caught 2 fish off the dock. We rented a pontoon boat for a few days and explored the lake. The house is in a very convenient location to local marinas, the state park and restaurants. We highly recommend going to Lone Star for a unique experience. Also, the state park offers great swamp tours if you want to see alligators or go kayaking! We had a great time here. We would easily stay here again!!

Nice Place to vacation

  • 5 of 5

There were plenty of towels and linens for your needs. The washer and dryer are of ample size. The pool is nice for the kids to play in. Fishing is hard every where in the summer. Although we did hit some bream beds and had a guide for two days to take out the kids and adults and he did a super job. His name is Alan Spence and was really into the kids catching fish. had a good time.

Friendly House

  • 5 of 5

We are two couples in our 50's who all agreed that this was the most user friendly house we had ever rented. The house is huge, the kitchen is well stocked, with cooking equipment, better than our own. Everything worked, the furniture is very comfortable, and the satellite TV worked well at all the TV's. Our ONLY suggestion for improvement would be to improve the router's signal strength. The house is well maintained and Sharon responded as fast as humanly possible to our 'e'mails and returning the deposit.

The walk down to the dock is well lit and so is the dock. Know this is very deep lot so the walk down is a bit long but not steep. Like the house the dock is set up well. Could use a net as we lost our first Arkansas blue catfish... is was too big to get up on 10# line. We bought a net. There is plenty of wildlife here. Deer, geese, otters, ospreys and numerous small songbirds.

The biggest disappointment of our trip was Elloree. The stores are struggling or closed. The museum is great though. We found the best antiquing in Columbia as the Charleston area has inflated prices, but the house is an hour from either. You are within 10 minutes of stores such as the IGA in Santee, Santee General Store (a must) CVS drugstore and 5 minutes to the corner store in Vance. The Lone Star BBQ in Santee is special. We had so much fun there on Saturday night eating all the shrimp and grit we could while the band played.

In summary, if you want a vacationer friendly place to relax this is it.

Fun and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We just wanted to say thank you sharon for another wonderful week at your home on the lake. Last year was so nice we did it again this year. The house is just perfect, it has everything advertised and more, even down to pool floats and spices. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook anything you want, the layout allows us all to have some space, the pool and hot tub are wonderful. We even watched some of the movies you had during the peak heat of the day. We intended to play some of the numerous games in the house but since the weather was perfect we spent almost all our time out on the decks or in the pool. Thank you again for another summer vacation in paradise. We left our boat home this year and just relaxed. We are already looking forward to next year. It was nice seeing you again, you are wonderful and easy to work with.
